Angels Fall: Original Sin, Book 2

So, I'm trying to figure out how to put my thoughts into words and describe how I felt reading this second book in the series. It starts right where we left off in book 1, Sin With Me, so if you haven't read that yet, stop now and go do that first.One of the first things I have to say about Maddie is she has a lot more lady balls than she does common sense this go-around. Or perhaps it is really just because she is SO tired of trying to climb that mountain, and she's fed up, and disgusted, has nothing but bad luck, and she's finally getting some really good dick only to find out who Tyler is. Talk about mindf#ck!!Tyler...is still Tyler. But he's kind of like Tyler 2.0 after acting like a phoenix and rising from the ashes. He's "seen the light" as they say, and he's bound and determined to be there for Maddie in whatever capacity she needs. So he does some stuff to prove to her that he is remorseful for skipping out on the family unit for the past dozen years and is in it for the long haul. And he's still a freaking witty guy, everybody says so. They say some other things about him too, like he's a super vulnerable and sensitive mofo, and he is, finally letting some of those block walls he's built around his heart down a little. Yay, Dr. Eldridge!! Or maybe it was James Franco....the jury is still out for me.The whole Carlos Castillo situation has escalated, with him changing his strategy of just how he's going to collect what Maddie owes him. But what the heck?? She doesn't even owe him the money!! I guess he wouldn't be at the head of his cartel if he didn't make the rules and take what he wants, right? And his minions are doing the dirty work of sending Maddie reminders that he fully plans to collect, one way or the other. There's only so far you can push someone, poke the tiger so to speak, before they snap back. Oh, Maddie, I am SO waiting to see you snap back!Julie has always been the queen of writing the sexy times, but her and Johnathan together? Things just ramped up on the sexy meter tenfold! I am having the best time living vicariously through Maddie and Tyler, because I can tell you right now, if the hubby and I tried any of the things these two do, we'd both end up in traction in the hospital! But it would probably be SO worth it!The sexy times and the suspense of wondering what's going to happen with Carlos and that whole mess kept me captivated with this story, but the emotional aspect really came to the forefront in this installment. Maddie has been struggling for so long, basically pushing everyone away from her since Scotty died. And Tyler has pretty much been doing that for even longer, since he joined the military. He used the excuse that he's been busy seeing the world and all that jazz, but really that has just been a smokescreen for the reality that he just didn't know how to "be" Tyler, a friend, brother to Scotty and Evan, just a guy who has friends and extended family who love him, who would never treat him the way his father has. And now that Maddie and Tyler actually know that they are Maddie and Tyler, and not Ford and Scarlett, it was a revelation for them both to discover how "good" they feel when they are together, how they each bring the other peace and happiness. Now if they can just figure out the way forward from here. Sure, the sex is great, but now to figure out how to just "be" together.Not gonna lie, the ending of this book tore my heart right out. I sat with tears in my eyes, yelling, "Why?? Why would you do that???" But it was the catalyst that lit the fire under Maddie, no pun intended. Stuff's gonna get real in the next book, and I can't wait!!

Holy Sin Balls 10 Blazon Hearts, just forget Stars this Series gets Hearts and all they can Get and MORE!Adejferhoereiqrfoero!!!! Yep cannot say all I want so you get all that first, Comprehendo? No, ok so Yeah THAT and So Much MoreOk so, Maddie and Tyler, Tyler and Maddie and all the Metaphors you could think about! Hot as SIN is One, Oh Holy Jeeze Tyler and the things he does with well Everything is so Freakin HOT...and Maddie and the things she says and then does will have your head spinning! But what she does to Logan and then with this Pitchfork??? Yep Wait for that!!!Soul Mates Destined to be together YET These two Crazies that How I do not know but I am falling hard an fast into this world Hold Me Please because I have cried tears and then been happy, laughed out loud at the antics of these two silly people that Have Never Been in a Relationship trying to just find a way to each other. Oh Tyler, jeesh I am so rooting for Tyler, he is just SO Frickin HOT! The sex is freaking Off the charts...sometimes it seems like they get in some impossible positions but I am not putting it anything past these two writers! Everything is BAM In Your Face from page 1.Of course we start off from that crazy cliffhanger from Sin with Me in book 1, and let me tell ya the ending of that book that bled into this one was a Crazy ride to heaven and hell all in one and that with Both of these characters they are both so very damaged in life that they are just getting by day in and out but I will tell ya the Tyler well he gets some great advice several times in Angels Fall and I LOVE a character that will reach for help, it didn't make him seem weak BUT Stronger because he was Man enough to know That Maddie is His but he didn't know how to help her get over all the years of being So Angry with him and the bottled up hate and the craziness that she was his Angel in his dream...but will it work, can he even do the things that's been asked of him. Ya gotta read yourself to figure that all out and let me just say but at about 75% or so through this one you get some freak outs with them and maybe some parents and that entire rash of stuff has happened before that! Some of the things said in this book is just...sigh is so heartbreakingly beautiful you most def. will need some tissues only to be laughing Hard the next! Just So wonderfully Put together!!!!These two competent writers New Exactly what they were doing when they teamed up to give US This Series centered around Sin City and Crazy!! They have consistently woven the threads tighter and tighter fed us a bread crumb to a bread crumb, each and ever time a chapter is given out to you devour it as if its like a gift and you Just Want More and More and More till you are at the end ! Let me tell ya that if ya thought the last one was a jaw clincher and that this book is not only as emotionally messed up as the people are well yeah you are bound to get just a little bit worked up yourself like I said its some Raw Emotions!!!I cannot wait to see what we are being handed next, its just impossible to Not Grin and also Grit your teeth Hard at what coming NEXT!I cannot wait for the book 3. I was awarded this book just a bit early for my honest review but I Am a verified purchaser and will always be for these Authors Because You cannot just take without giving Back!Thank You Julie and Johnathan What Frickin Ride this is and I LOVE IT!!!People if you have not started this Series Get it, its well HOT and GOOD! No sorry not good, Its Excellent!!!

“Finally, after the price is paid, and the fire that drives us all forward is extinguished, we finally get to rest.”These two are so messed up, but the story isn’t a heavy one full of poor me. Again, inner monologue is a huge part of these books and it works. Banter and witty commentary from both is entertaining.I love Tyler’s character, as he’s slowly waking up to the world around him again with Maddie. Finding the balance between support and racing in and fixing things for her remains difficult for him.More depth and backstory this time, ending with a mini-cliffhanger.

More Huss McClain goodness. I can't say much about this book without spoilers seeing as how it's book two in a four part series. What I will say is this - fantastic writing and a story I can't wait to read more of. I love this partnership.Thank goodness they are releasing three weeks apart.Bring on book three!

OMG! Can I just say how much I Love Tyler!! I love Maddie too I really do but Tyler just draws me in, I love everything about him. The audio narration really brings him to life and is spot on. This whole book was amazing, ended on a super sad note but I'm jumping right into book 3!

I absolutely love Tyler! His bizarre sense of humour, his quirky outlook on life, and the fact that he loves Maddie and really does try his hardest to respect her wishes even if she doesn't see it that way.The funny one-liners and sarcastic retorts that Tyler just can't keep to himself.  The Angel/Devil arguments that Maddie has with herself. The inner monologues that send both of them into fazed out moments where the world ceases around them.  All of these are brought about by the genius writing team of Huss and McClain, and that's just the tip of the story iceberg.This book had me all over the place, emotionally speaking.  Maddie is still in debt to Carlos and has Logan breathing down her neck.  Tyler, with the help of some friends - old and new, finally becomes what Maddie needs.  There are a few happy surprises along the way and the pair are finally finding some clarity in their lives.  You know when you get to that stage in a book when everything is going right and you think..."ok, story can end now, all is good"...but no, the writer/s just keep on going. There is that defining moment for me in this book, and guess what?  Yep, the writers just kept on going!No spoilers but if you get as involved with the characters as much as I do, not just the main ones but all the side characters that make the stories come to life, then I would suggest that you have some tissues at the ready.

Book 2 in this series and it is only getting better! With book 2 we are given more of a back story for Maddie and after reading it, it made me not want to shake some sense into her as much. I kinda get it with her now.Tyler is just as cheeky as he was in book 1 and totally still as lovable. They seem to set their pace with eachother and come to terms themselves about what they can do for eachother.And of course the ending leaves us screaming for the next book to see what kinda revenge Maddie can get. Really looking forward to book 3!
