Soothing sounds. My Grandchild loved it. Gave it to her for her birthday and her sisters loved it too. I purchased two more to give to her sisters for their birthdays.

I really enjoy this little tongue drum ! It sounds so nice & soothing , really easy to play actual songs & the purple finish on it is beautiful ! The carry bag for the drum & one for the drum sticks seem well made & very convenient to use . I think this would be a great gift for anyone of any age . I’ve enjoyed it so much that I’m looking into getting a larger tongue drum too !

Our 8 year old is a percussionist- she can't NOT drum on something. We had considered a couple of different items / instruments, but when my husband suggested a tongue drum, it was a very easy decision.We looked at several listings and we loved that this drum came with a case- obviously the mallots and handpicks, the polishing cloth, etc were something we were looking for, but we also were glad that it came with a place to store it safely.It wasn't even the "main" gift for her birthday but she has been obsessed with this drum! She got out the song book and started learning right away. Her sisters and even we have spent a lot of time with it.Really glad that we got this tongue drum. It's a beautiful sound and very relaxing, whether she's playing a melody or just messing around with the notes.

This drum sounds amazing, it makes really beautiful music. The sound is very ethereal and bright. The reverberation is really long and beautiful. It’s also very beautiful to look at, I absolutely love it in the purple color. The case is good, it’s nice and protective, and I love that it has a separate case for the drumsticks as well. Not to mention the carrying strap so you can put it over your shoulder! There’s a plug on the bottom side of the drum that you can remove that makes it louder, but supposedly removes some of the reverberation (I might have that backwards, misplaced the instructions that tell that 😅). I have some trouble with my ears so I can’t tell the difference very well.The biggest con for this one for me is that the high 1 (I think this is a C scale, so that would be the high C?), Does not ring very well, compared to the others at least. The other notes have strong rich tone and reverberation, but that one’s short and very quiet and can be difficult to hit in a way that it rings well in the first place. I actually hear more vibration from the main body when hitting that note than I do from that tongue itself. It’s a great way to start with the instrument and see if you really like it before investing in a big one, but I find having only eight notes very limiting personally, so I do plan on upgrading to one that has many more notes and I can play more songs on it.Overall, I really love this drum and I am definitely going to be using it for many years to come, I really think this thing could take a beating and still play because it really does seem to be well-made and sturdy.

Exactly what I ordered

My daughter is 2.5 years old and loves this. Just be mindful that young children like 2 years old will take the sticks and want to suck on the soft ball part. That stresses me out every time!Other than that, the sounds are soft and a joy in comparison to other toys that have annoying never ending and even irritating sounds.

If you’re used to playing the piano, it can be difficult to learn this, but the sounds are amazing.
