Pricey but worth it!
I'm an avid user of home assistant and IoT, hence the reasoning for looking at connected devices. Appreciate this is pricey and requires its own proprietary hub, but the piece of mind that no matter where you are, you'll get an alert if an alarm goes off to me is worth it.It also routinely tests the network and system to ensure all is working as expected. Super easy to install with various sized holes in the plate for drilling, and then just twist and lock the alarm which automatically turns it on.Had for a number of months now and no issues with connectivity or false alarms, also connected to a FireAngel CO alarm and an upstairs FireAngel smoke alarm which will all trigger each other if alarming.I would like to see an API for integration into Home Assistant / Home Kit etc. But can't fault the product. You pay for what you get, and in this case its a very reliable and first-class alarm which shouldn't be compromised

Good seller.
Good quality, exactly as described. Easy to use and easy to connect with the rest of the alarms already in the house. Tested regularly and still going strong.

Simple, looks smart and easy to install
The Fire Angel Pro Connected devices are smart looking and fairly easy to install. If you just have the alarms, they all connect to each other wirelessly, so if one alarm goes off, they all do. You can add an extra alarm to the system easily by pressing the tiny button on the new device with a paper clip, then immediately pressing the test button on one of the other alarms in the system. So it’s very easy (if a little noisy) to add to the system if you want/need to.The units are supplied with 2 screws to attach to the ceiling, but I used self adhesive magnetic plates to allow for easy removal if required. The gateway links the system to the internet and adds Alexa compatibility if that floats your boat. Alexa integration is fairly basic - basically test and silence the alarms, but you can schedule alarm tests. More useful is the notifications from the app if there is an issue. It will notify you which alarm is triggered, or if there is a fault (such as the power going out).Overall pretty good, and most importantly, meets the new Scottish requirements.

Awful to set up - may work well but need to complete setup
Bought a gateway to manage my existing 7 alarm setup in the house. Took some time to find instructions and download the app.Within the app, registration challenging - kept on refusing to accept my details with no error message. Inexplicably worked at the fourth or fifth attempt.Managed to register the gateway on the app, but the app won’t let you connect to an existing network, you need to do this via the web based installation “wizard”. I didn’t want the hassle of taking down 7 devices and reregistering them so went to the “wizard”Logged in, found my account, but then anything else resulted in “Oops - Something went wrong. Please refresh this page to continue”Tried another browser with the same result, so called the helpline.the lady who answered couldn’t help, referred it to someone else and came back to me an hour later saying they don’t know why this happened and I need to individually pair all 7 alarms again through the app.Awful experience so far. Need to wait until the dogs are out on a walk to repair all the devices as the noise distresses them

Not perfect but works. Customer support is very good though.
The hallway smoke detector works fine and detected when the kitchen got a bit smoky when cooking. We, by law have to have a heat detector, two smoke detectors and a CO detector that are connected and all within about 3m of each other because of the size and layout of our house. All the other devices activated too so it worked.Have now had two devices go into "test event" mode. CO detector and a heat detector. Every 5 minutes both would set off tests on all the other detectors. Couldn't do anything with it. Tried searching for help on their web site which was a waste of time. When it happens at 02:30 it is quite annoying. No option to disconnect or silence the device that I could find within the app. You can cancel the event but that is all. After an hour of this the CO detector was finally disconnected. 😞 RIP CO detector and now heat sensor. The only way to stop the agony was to disassemble both devices. The heat sensor was a little easier to get apart but had to still cut the battery cable to stop it working and triggering all the connected devices. Will see what customer support is like. The CO detector was harder to stop and eventually took a literal hammer to it (avoiding the battery) to kil it.Really hard to recommend as you want something reliable and half the devices we got have now failed.

Fantastic Service and Product
I wouldn't normally write a review but I think this lot deserve the feedback.I had a new internet connection installed this week and it's been going up and down a lot which is causing connectivity issues for the Fireangel gateway. Someone from support raised a ticket and contacted me today to make sure that everything was ok as my alarms were all offline. I'm not paying for this service other than the initial outlay for the device so I'm really impressed with this level of customer service.I've had these alarms installed for a few months now and they have been fantastic, the CO sensor in the kitchen was triggered by a candle, so extremely sensitive and nice to know it's working. Had another heat alarm when opening a very hot oven, my fault for putting it too close but again, works like a charm and all the alarms in the house triggered at the same time. No issue with battery life or connectivity with any of the alarms. The app alerted me very quickly when these events occurred, very impressed. It took 10 mins for 2 smoke alarms, 1 heat alarm, 2 CO sensors, 1 central control unit and the gateway so very easy to setup.
