I usually do not write reviews but I figured that is selfish since I always seem to be reading others while looking for feed back on products. I have used the Blueline 70 HD external pump and the Pondmaster PM24 both with mixed reviews and I will share them. The Blueline is super strong but being quiet is not its strength. Also make sure that it is nowhere near any possible exposure to water. Hmmm oxy moron because its for your tank full of water. Needless to say that is hard and if you are like me than you will get it wet and it will fail, which led me to the Pondmaster. Again nice pump but either I got a noisy one or my hearing is sensitive. I used it with same plumbing and I noticed a drop off in my flow rate I got from the Blueline which made me have to route some things differently. The Pondmaster was ok but after a few months I determined the flow drop off was causing some issues in the tank. So I began to search for another pump which led me to the JebaoDCT 1500. I found it in the Amazon Warehouse but had it in my cart for a few months trying to decide if I would spend more and get another Blueline, but at the price I figured I would give it a shot.Ok now for the fun part, the unit arrived and if you are not use to getting a control module for a pump that controls the speed you will after you open this box. It also has a power pack and adaptor and make for easy installation. The controller lets use adjust the speed (flow) so I can see this being the pump that you can purchase if you have a 75 to 125 gallon tank and plan to upgrade up to a tank 220 to 250 gallons. I initially hooked it up as an external pump but switched it over to an internal pump.I will say the flow is awesome, I am no longer seeing the "dead" spots in the tank. The adjustable speed for my needs is set to max flow and to be honest it is as quiet as I power head. When the power is out or the tank is off was the only time my family room has been this quiet. The controller has a feed function which powers down the pump completely which may be useful for some but not for my needs.Now to initial quality, the pump has some wait to it and seems to be solid. I do not see anything in the design to cause a concern. The footprint of the unit is rather large and that my explain the flow rate being on par with the Blueline. I have hard plumbing with ball valves and unions, so the plan was to modify a few hookups to install this unit, put the inlet and outlet are rather large so I was unable to find the connections I needed at my local Home Depot. I instead used the adaptor that came with the unit and used flex hose to connect to my plumbing.Over all I am very pleased with this unit. I will follow up with its performance in a few months. These pumps work pretty good. I have a sump full of them. One for return, one for my skimmer and one for my chiller. But, the only problem is is that they stop for anything. The control boxes have circuit protection box and they give you a code of sorts in flashing lights. If you have a blink of electricity, they shut off. Resistance is too high, they shut off, etc. In a reef tank with high calcium levels, that can be problematic. I have to soak them in white vinegar every couple of weeks to keep them running. My old pumps would run forever without stopping. But, these are super quiet and have decent pressure, so I still use them. They are fairly efficient and use less power too. They are so cheap that I keep an extra of each pump at the ready, so swapping them out is easy enough.

This is the second unit I have purchased gor my 430g rig. I have been running Reeflo Gold pumps and just tired of replacing seals. The first unit was to replace the closed loop and it has been running great and silentReplace the return pump today and to my surprise only run it at half speed. There is no need to gate output as I did with reeflo pump. It also is dead silent. I will be rebuilding reeflo pumps and selling them. I will purchase a 3rd DCT pump for the shelf as a spare. If I get a year or longer. Then it has already proven the cost of ownershipMy original holdup was finding a DC pump that would be capable of the same output of the Reeflo Golds and these do just fine.I run them extrenal and they have yet to get hot. My others were so hot, you couldnt touch them. I will pull them in 6 months and access impeller wear or anything else with a good inspection. I dont expect to find anything out of the normal. JABEO is building eally good stuff

The pump is quiet and powerful. I thought the controller was starting to glitch out ( it changed speed on its own once) , but it seems to be running fine now. I’ve had the pump for three months: Update- its been almost a year and a half since I’ve had the pump. Still running great, no power issues. It’s very powerful (1500 model). I have it in the sump of my 180 gallon tank and I only run it at 50 percent. If I run it al full speed, it overtakes the two 1 inch drains I have in the overflow box (I have a backup 1 inch drain in case the pump decides to go rouge... ) The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is just the size of the pump. It’s quit big, you need to make sure you have the space to use it.

I bought this as an auxiliary pump for my large outdoor pond. When it arrived, I realized it's really made for indoor applications, in spite of some reviewers using it outdoors. First, the controller and power supply are definitely NOT even water resistant. Second, the cord from the motor to the controller is only 8 ft 9 in long, which is pretty impractical for an outdoor pond unless it's in a skimmer. I planned to put the pump on my first shelf and the controller and psu in a watertight box and screw that to a retaining wall, but the short cord was very limiting. After using it for a couple of days, I disconnected it and put it away indoors. I just went to use if again and realized the controller box had melted & deformed, so I can only assume that it overheated during the 2-3 days of actual use. I luckily caught this on the last day of my return window....

I'm using it in my 14' above ground pool/Koi pond to circulate the water. No head height / lift, just circulation. I have 1.5" flexible PVC hose on it and it streams full diameter of the hose easily a couple feet before it starts to drop. And very low wattage. Looking forward to seeing more of these electronically controlled, permanent magnet high efficiency motors. OK China, here's your next big thing....replace all those energy hog Baldor etc motors with these that run at least 1/3 less power than a traditional AC motor.

tengo apenas 1 mes con ella, es muy silenciosa y potente, justo lo que necesitaba para mi tanque de 1,200 litros. tengo 2 bajadas como rebosadero y la misma bomba alimenta 2 reactores y aún así la tengo al 80% de potencia.He leido que despues de 1 año va perdiendo potencia e incluso a algunos ya no les prende despues de ese tiempo. Great pump, lots of output. Very quiet and I’d recommend it. I also have a 12000 that’s equally good
