The Gaslighting of the Millennial Generation: How to Succeed in a Society That Blames You for Everything Gone Wrong (White Elephant Gift)

This book should not reside in your library longer than 90 days.
The book is an interesting read, but hardly contains any new or original material which couldn't be found with a quick web search. In my opinion, this could have been a better book or more aligned with the title if the author had offered less advice, but presented topics and evidence which followed an argument/counterargument format with a reasoned conclusion at the end of each chapter with a call to action. Don't buy this book, but definitely find someone who has a copy and trade with them, then trade it again to someone else after you have read it. (Gen X'er here who agrees that Gen XYZ has been gaslighted by the GG and BB's.)

Buy it. You won't regret it.
Written by a millennial for millennials. Caitlin perfectly depicts life as a millennial and ways to make ourselves not as crazy. This book validates everything that myself and other millennials have been through. Her quirky personality jumps out of the pages and makes you feel like you're talking to a friend or at least a really good motivational speaker. Lol. The advice is solid and will definitely help anyone with surviving what the world has to offer.

If you are a Millennial, you need this book
If you have a Millennial in your life, you need this book. If you work with Millennials, you need this book. If you like to eat avocados, you especially need this book. The only people who don’t need this book is the ones who want to continue blaming Millennials without cause.Caitlin Fisher lays it all out in an easy to read book that is full of facts but never dry. She doesn’t claim to have the answer to everything, but you don’t need answers to see there needs to be change.

Must read for Millenials
I love it! The chapter names are hilarious. It’s very well written. It digs in and dismantles all the blame placed on our generation. Plus 11 avocado references.

Understanding human beings, their differences, and similarities is THE MOST IMPORTANT WORK
As a 45yo female struggling through real estate school, I know that I will work with millennial buyers and sellers. I originally ordered the book for sales insight and received so much more from the author. This is a book for modern PEOPLE, not just millennials. Understanding humanity is a great and daunting process. This book provided me deep understanding on multiple levels and subjects, a priceless commodity.

Are you a millennial?
Are you a Millennial and not fully understanding why even with your 3 jobs you still have to live in your parents basement? seriously its not your fault. pick up the book, pick up a coffee and enjoy. it helps unpack the trauma that our generation as a whole is experiencing while trying to grow up in a society that continues to infantize us.From a Viral blogger, Born again Minimalist Caitlin Fisher covers each of the topics that millennials apparently are killing, small hint, we aren't we are changing the world for the better just a group of people are kicking and screaming as do. So sit back. sip that coffee, munch on that avocado toast and gain a little solidarity that the world is not your fault.

Validating
It’s validating to read a book about my generation and immediately resonate with it. I think Gen Xers and Baby Boomers would like it because it will give them a perspective on life as a millennial that they might want some insight to, but I digress. On page 141, the author writes, “we’re not satisfied with anything the way it has always been,” and on page 222, “millennial is...Of wanting to do better and leave a better world for those who come next.” We have to face a world that’s changing faster than ever before—both for better and for worse. And we’re ready to drive that change for the better.

Good look into the reality of the millennial situation
This book is a poignant look at what it’s actually like to be a millennial. We’re blamed for everything when in reality everything we’ve inherited is imploding or has already imploded. Mx. Fisher is an excellent writer making points that you may not have thought of and giving tips to potentially improve your situation. I’d recommend this book to people of all generations, not just millennials - perspective is helpful for everyone!

Humorous yet accurate.
If you want a book where every single misconception about millenials is hilariously dismantled argument by argument then this is the book for you. Well recommended.

Is it everyone or is it just that parents push the credibility of how they save face
Interesting it the last 40 years, if even suggest that 30 years ago when there were 3 million unemployed it would have been harder to exist in societies boundaries when society refused to accept people couldn't get jobs
