Saved my bluebird box!
I have squirrels that will eat away my bluebird box holes. There are even squirrels that go inside and eat the eggs. Yes, squirrels do eat the eggs. This ring sits on perfectly and keeps them from getting in the nest or chewing on it. My husband even brought a few to take to the golf course where the squirrels were doing the same to their bluebird box. Product works well and arrived quickly and in good condition.

2.5 inches across with a 1.5 inch hole.
A great solution to chewed up holes. I could not find this anywhere here, but FYI the outside measures 2.5 inches across. In case you are trying to start a project before you receive it and need to know. The hole is 1.5 inches as stated.I am working on a very interesting birdhouse that incorporates the protector as part of the design, I will add some pictures when it is done.

An attractive appearing, non rusting entry hole protector
I liked that it arrived packaged w/ screws ready to mount. That it is an attractive non rusting piece of metal that ought work superbly to protect the bird house entry hole from being enlarged by woodpeckers, or predators. If I had a complaint it would be that the I.D. although measuring as advertised at 1.5" I would have liked it to be just a hair larger, maybe by a 1/32".

Great for keeping squirrels out of your nesting boxes.
My father and I love to make wooden bluebird nesting boxes to put around our property, but they rarely last more than one season before squirrels enlarge the entrance hole so much that the house is not acceptable to the bluebirds. This metal portal guard solved our problem. The guard is easy to install and quite attractive.

Wonderful!
Perfectly repaired the opening to our bluebird house. The squirrels had chewed the opening and no bluebirds would move in. As soon as my husband fixed the entrance, we have a pair of birds and they are currently sitting on eggs!

Great idea, kept those pesky squirrels and bigger a-hole birds out of my new bluebird houses.Stop being a cheapskate and get some for your bluebird friends! They should have something like this at the entrances of airplanes and bars. Keeps the bigguns out!

Must have Item to protect your Blue Bird Box
Good Blue Bird boxes don't come cheap.Don't you hate it when other birds widen the opening of the box to the point where the Blue Birds won't nest in it ?This simple screw-on works like a charm. It protects your investment and keeps the Blues coming back year after year.
