EXCELLANT!
The media could not be loaded. I have gone threw a few R8 collet sets trying to find a good one. I was looking for a set of R8's that would one up my ER32 collets that have 0.00075"-0.003" runout. Enter the HHIP Pro series R8 collet set. Beautifully packaged in ziplock bags inside plastic clamshell containers, NOT covered in oil like everything from overseas. I fought resisting cancelling this order twice because I have had such bad luck with affordable collet sets. It wears a person down afterwhile. Here they are, what a sight to behold. No oil, no burrs, no grime in threads. Just shinny, accurate collets. In the attached pics, 0 is the starting point checking runout. My mini mill's quill has 0.00025" runout. Taking that into account when looking at pics, the collets I tested have ZERO runout. Dude, that's OP! I am beyond happy, to say the least.I ordered these on 3/2/23. The price was $129. A few weeks ago they were in the $90 range. Now, $150. You know what? They are absolutely worth it, if you have any regard for the near perfect collet. What, there not perfect?! Well, almost perfect! The keyways have a breakin, at least on my mill. A few cycles of installing/removing loosened them up enough to solidify their 5 star review. So very happy I held off buying Mcalister-Car collet set for over $300.For comparison, I have another brand 23 piece R8 collet set sitting here I dont know what to do with. I complained to the seller and they asked me how much runout I expected. Ofc, I said 0.001" or less. They asked if I would accept a refund and keep the collets because the collets they sell are for average people, lol. I kid you not.Oh, and the runout of the average people collets is 1@ 0.00075", 4@ 0.003"-0.004" of the 5 I tested.Hit the button if you think HHIP is a better collet set.

With a little work they're decent. Will not fit many mills without modification.
This collet is not threaded more than 1" through the end, so if you do not have a short drawbar, or haven't switched to allthread as an adjustable alternative, you're going to damage your drawbar while tightening the chuck. Luckily, drawbars are cheap and easy to replace, but as you attempt to tighten the chuck the threads will bottom-out before the mill is actually tight and locked in. Attempt to tighten things until the mill is seated, and you'll be pulling your drawbar threads through the un-threaded part of the collet, smashing them flat. This does not occur with higher-quality collets, as they have 2" of thread at the top. This brings me to the second issue...The threads are not cleaned up at the factory. The first few turns were burred to hell, and wouldn't start threading onto anything. Once I ran a tap through, the burrs chipped off and everything was nice and smooth. If you don't have a 7/16-20 tap ready, don't expect this collet to work for you. Which combined with the first issue leads to...For once, the advertised claim of having been hardened is actually spot-on. These puppies were hardened at the factory, and rock-solid. This means you can't tap the threads further to fix the short-threading issue, but it should be plenty durable for years of use. Also, the keyway wasn't deburred, requiring some tricky stoning to clean up before the collet would even slide up into the chuck.I'd really love to have been able to give this collet a much higher rating, but the threads being cut shorter than normal, and then not having been properly de-burred will cause many people loads of trouble. I've got a modified drawbar 7/16-20 tap and die set, and a slim sharpening stone so I was able to correct for the manufacturing issues, but that's something a customer shouldn't have to do. Nice collet otherwise - good runout, nicely lasered sizing on the face, plenty hard, and even has the face ground slightly flat so that it gives back that last millimeter of clearance.

Check the runout; they will quickly replace if they send a bad collet
Same story here (3/4") as for previous purchase (3/8"). First collet I received had large runout ~3.5 thou measured on the Bridgeport with DTI. I returned it and was issued a replacement with <0.2 thou runout which is fine. Speedy service. Pay the premium on McMaster if you can't afford the extra couple of days they take to send a replacement.

Excellent Collet Set
Collets were well protected in individual plastic tubes, wrapped in plastic to retain oil coating on collets. Excellent sheen finish on entire set. Precision individual sizing. Fit perfectly on my older Enco milling machine.Would recommend. Jerry

Overall they work great. I would have given a five star rating ...
I have used almost every one of these collets in my milling machine. Overall they work great. I would have given a five star rating but on two of the collets the exterior machining is not as smooth as the other 9 in the set. This does not appear to have impacted the functionality of the tool, just the appearance. Overall, very good product at a reasonable price.

same imports like all other
Took me some time to power wire brush every single one luckfully I have various power tube brushes but for someone who dont it would be an extra cost, decend amount of chips came out I did this because I noticed that each slit had a curled up burr at the end and the threads were also sharp with burrs. Not complaining given the price but how much really would it cost to have them deburred and if description said burr free with smooth precision threads I would be first to spend little extra and this is one thing I dont understand about imports.

Broke first use
Terrible quality control.Item had a pre-existing crack in the collet and when first used, it went ‘pop’ and broke off that entire piece. Useless right outta the box.Get what you pay for I guess.
