Walkies will no longer be the same without one!
Wow wow wow no more tugging and pulling. As gorgeous as he is my dog loves to follow his nose and tends to wonder off during walks in the country park. So much so that he forgets that I’m on the end of his lead as he gets carried away!Since discovering this fantastic shock absorbing bungee attachment, walkies have been much more enjoyable for both. No more yanking and pulling resulting in elbow and shoulder strain for me (and my family) or the bad feeling that I’m choking my poor dog.Wish I’d discovered this years ago. Great product, great value from a well known brand.I always take into consideration reviews left by others when choosing items. Please tick the ‘helpful’ button if you’ve found my review helpful. In use for two years, fantastic
I've had this in daily use for two years until my dog unfortunately died and I've only just remembered to review. My dog was a large Flat Coated Retriever who was incredibly stubborn and terrible at recall. I had him on an old Flexi Giant extendable lead on his walks in the woods but found that when he was charging around, he was liable to choke himself as the lead suddenly ran out. No amount of me gently teasing him some extra lead little by little stopped it so I bought this.In two years of heavy daily use, this never once snapped or gave up. My dog was 38kg of pure bulk and liked to run. This gave him a little bit of extra freedom and saved both his neck and my shoulder from the snap of the lead running out. This meant I could stop worrying about how much lead he had left and start enjoying walks again.I also picked up another one in a shop and used it to clip his harness to his collar. He didn't wear his harness often (only when someone else walked him) and he had a habit of slipping out of it. This meant we still had hold of him if he escaped his harness as it was attached to his collar, while we didn't have to worry about him getting suddenly snagged on something due to the bungee effect. It had enough give in it for me to go and rescue him from whatever tree or shrub he'd got himself caught on without any worries. It didn't really stop him pulling when he spotted something he wanted, but was ideal for softening the lunges which is exactly what I bought it for.Overall, a great buy and I've put it away for the day we eventually get another dog.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
Having this attached to my dogs lead is litterly a life saver!! My Labrador has a tendency to "shoot" off if he sees a cat or a squirrel that he feel like chasing after and before having brought this, he used to pull me flying behind him and could have quite easily pulled my arm out of its socket or dislocated it!After walking him with this added onto his lead, the difference it has made is MASSIVE!!Now my arm stays fully intact if he spots something he wants to chase before I have noticed it and has relived so much pressure when walking a 44kg dog.I couldn't reccomend one of these bungee cord attachments more if you have a big strong dog who very much enjoys chasing other animals even though he knows and has been told not to.Myself and my arm can't thank the genius who thought of this idea enough.

wonderful, really makes walking far easier for the dogs and humans
This really changes the way the dog is walked. We have a wonderful smart rottweiler -I say that because he behaves appropriately and doesn't try to walk ahead; he taught himself to lie down when he sees other dogs- but he does pull at times, namely when we stop for a moment and he doesn't realise until the lead pulls. As a 2000 year old breed from pulling Roman carts, he's strong, but this takes the jolt out of it which is good for our arms and stops us being pulled over haha. It's perfectly short enough, just not good for the city or near traffic. Perhaps put a handle on the end instead of a lead if you must.It doesn't flex too much or too little. Also perfect for attaching the lead to an object like a picnic basket or tree while we eat or rest. The clip attached makes it very easy and fast rather than taking the lead off and feeding it through the handle etc

Risk of injury for small dogs/puppies
I can only review this from the standpoint of using it with my dog who is a 6 month medium sized breed puppy. We have a zero shock lead which is great, so I hoped this would help when used with his extending lead to take some of the jolt out of his puppy exuberance. Only received it today so tried it on his afternoon walk. There isn't much give in this at all though, but the much bigger issue is it's heavy and drags on the ground as well as stops the extending lead retracting properly. He got this around his throat at one point so was literally about to remove it when another dog came on the scene and he took off to meet it, and where this stops the lead retracting safely, he got it caught under his front leg and came to a literal screaming stop when it ran out. One emergency vet visit later he thankfully hasn't broken or dislocated his leg, but is now on strict rest at home. So many regrets for not realising sooner how unsafe this is for smaller dogs or for use with an extending lead and honestly wish we hadn't bothered. Most expensive £5 I've spent for something we had for five minutes. May work better with large dogs where it wouldn't reach the ground, but would avoid at all costs otherwise.

Wow! I own dozens of bungees, this is the cheapest one but one of the best - feels premium
►Review of: Ancol Bungee Shock, 37 cm◄I have 5 dogs ranging from 4kg to 40kg, so I own literally dozens of dog bungees/shock absorbers. I bought this one because it's the cheapest one I could find as I only wanted it as a backup for my smallest puppa, however, when it arrived it quickly ended up replacing the bungee I use every day for one of larger 15kg dogs as it's one of the best bungees I used, it feels like you could tow a small car with it.Although, it's not a soft one, meaning your dog needs to give a good strong pull to stretch it, so I wouldn't use it on a small dog under 8kg as they might not have the strength/weight to stretch it.𝗧𝗟;𝗗𝗥/𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Very pleasantly surprised, I thought it would be cheap and nasty only good for a backup, but it turned out to be a major upgrade as it's a tough little son of a female dog that feels premium.
