This author has the most amazing poems. My 9 year old nature lover and artist simply adores these books. We have all of them!! Perfect introduction to poetry.

Douglas Florian has a real way with words and art. His books are not only beautiful to look at but the poetry is clever, witty and thought provoking. The poems are short, but insightful. We've probably read this book and many of his others well over one hundred times. Pure joy for all ages.

Another gorgeous creation from Douglas Florian. I ordered this and "Beast Feast" for a pair of 3-year-old twins. But after looking at them, I decided to keep them for myself. They are just too beautiful to give to children! (But if you are not a selfish book nut like me, they are great children's books....)

i have purchased several books by this author; my grandchildren (ages 3, 5, 7) love them.
