King of the Causeway: A King Series Novella

A DEFINITE must read!!
OMG, I have soooo missed King, Preppy, and Bear! I missed the girls too, but these three are an absolute riot! I can guarantee that you will not find another series that even compares to this one, and it'll certainly have you begging for more. Even when you are on the edge of your seat with the suspenseful twists in the stories, you'll be crying from laughing so hard in the next moment. Each book is quirky, completely unique, but the one constant that they all have in common is the love that they share in their unconventional family. If you haven't already read all of the different series' by this author, I would highly suggest that you do. The King series is phenomenal, and there are others that either loosely tie into it, or spin-off's that are a definite must read. They're all amazing stories, and you certainly won't be disappointed! I would suggest going to the authors Amazon page and start with the first releases, then continue reading from there. JMO!I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.I would like to thank this author for allowing her stories to be involved with the KU program. I know that the authors don't get paid a lot for having them on there, but for those like myself, it's the only way I can afford to read. (Especially since I usually read 5-7 books a week) I just wanted you to know that I truly appreciate your being a part of this so I can enjoy your amazing stories. I look forward to reading all of your work.

Perfect little story.
It's the perfect little insite on the life of preppy after his last book. It also gives you another look into Ray as a parent and her life with King. All the charters, Bear and Thia, King and Ray, Preppy and Dre are present in this little novella. It is action packed as well. So we still get the biker gang feel with all our favorite gang back together again.

Get a glimpse of life after the fall
King of the Causeway is book #9.5 in the King series. It's a short novella within the series so if you just want a taste, this is the perfect book to dip your toe in!Logan's Beach is about to be hit with a huge storm...both outside and in the King household. Can Doe and King weather the disaster together?Ok so, I originally rated this one 3 stars but after some thought and because I adore the cover (it's all in the details!), I decided to bump it up to 4 stars.Let's start with the good stuff:1. Anything with King and Doe in it is worth reading! I absolutely loved revisiting these characters and really...I never wanna leave!2. We get a glimpse of life after the fall, like an extended epilogue.3. The story touches on an important subject..depression. It's one close to my heart since I've lived my life in its shadow.4. My good friend Preppy (and even a small scene with Bear) make an appearance. Because PANCAKES!Now here's why I debated with a lower rating:1. I honestly have a love/hate relationship with novellas. They're either spectacular for me or just kinda blah.2. This story felt rushed and a bit underdeveloped, probably because of its length.3. It could have used some polishing. A few mistakes here and there, I can gloss over but when it's constant, it distracts from the flow of the story and then I get grumpy!Overall, this is a good book to read if you have an hour or two to kill or you just desperately want a small slice of the goodness of Logan's Beach (like me)! Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

The King and his Queen
This author is always been a one-click for me, so when this book was announced, I preordered it immediately. This is an amazing addition to the King Series that wraps up some loose ends and clears up some mysteries surrounding the characters' pasts. But one of the best things about this book is the subplot, where we see Rey/Doe dealing with a bad run of postpartum depression. The character's feelings of inadequacy are ones which are felt by women around the world every day, though not often spoken about, so it was a breath of fresh air to see a female character who has been so outrageously strong throughout the entire series finally succumb to self-doubt and normal everyday female feelings. And as if we didn't already love the men in this series enough, the other best part is the way they rally together to not only handle the violence that goes down in the main plot but also to show Rey/Doe how much she's loved and appreciated during the time that she needs to hear it most. Even though it's more of a novella, this is hands down one of the most fantastic books in this series and one of the most relevant books written by Ms. Frazier to date. Loved it! Wish I could give it 100 stars!

Easy quick read that felt a bit rushed.
I'm always up for revisiting the world of Logan's Beach and was thrilled we would be getting more King and Ray in King of the Causeway. There is a ton crammed into this novella with Ray being very pregnant, dealing with a bit of ease in her mind and King trying to find out who is determined to upend his reign over this part of Florida.Preppy, as usual, is the standout with his crazy comments that are always heartfelt even if just a bit out there. Thank goodness for his unusual way of soothing both his best friend in Ray and her equally stubborn husband since they are all going through a ton with not only personal issues but an impending hurricane. He is THE best and I could honestly read about him forever.Though I guess because of all that is going on and the length of the story, some of the scenes felt a bit rushed and/or somewhat unbelievable at times. With a few contradictions that didn't necessarily sit right with me. Combined with more than the usual in typos from such a seasoned author that had me scratching my head more than once.BUT, this series is a true favorite of mine and I am more than curious and anxious for Pike's duet next, hopeful that answers will be revealed as to just who is trying to overthrow the one and only King of the Causeway.3 stars.

King & Pup
A riveting, intense and highly entertaining journey to go on with King and Pup (Ray). I enjoyed getting a little glimpse of these amazing characters once again, especially during a lot of chaos while a hurricane is coming. Great story.

Nice enough
King of the Causeway was nice enough. I liked having more of Doe and King. Seeing their life as parents, though, didn't enthrall me at all. I guess this novella would appeal to readers who enjoy reading about their favorite heroes in the throws of the day-to-day life (or so to speak, because it's still set in Logan's Beach's crazy atmosphere), which isn't my case. This story introduces us to Pike's book. There is that.A huge shout-out to Preppy, though, who stole the show with his dark humor.

Favoriet
Door dit kort verhaal ga ik voor de zoveelste keer de serie opnieuw lezen. Preppy blijft favoriet! De laatste 2 boeken ook gelijk gekocht. Hopelijk komen er nog veel meer boeken van T.M. Frazier

SO SO SO GOOD!
TM is one of my “one click” authors. I absolutely love being back in Logan’s beach again. These characters are everything and their love for each other is raw and beautiful. If you haven’t read the king series yet I would recommend getting on that. It’s the type of series that stay with you long after you’ve finished. The type you’ll never want it to finish

T.M Frazier at her finest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This didn’t feel like a novella. It felt like a full length book. As usual, TM’s book was crammed packed with action, emotion, angst and of course serious topics that affect women after child birth. King and Rays relationship in this story brought a tear to my eye. But the way they battled through and were there for each other was beautiful to read. The storm scenes literally blew me away. I felt like I was there. With Ray. Felt her pain. And shouted at my kindle. And of course, preppy was hilarious. The comedy timing was spot on.I won’t give the plot away, but I have to say, this was hands down TM Frazier’s best work and a fabulous start to 2020. Like everyone else, I’m eagerly awaiting Pikes story and know it will deliver.Thank you for writing such poignant, relevant, action packed, heartfelt words that always pack a punch. You truly are the best. Gotta love King
I absolutely adore King and Ray and this novella did not disappoint. It reinforced what they always knew, that they belong together and are better together. Long live the King of the Causeway.
