On my first trip to the range after installing these grips on my RIA 1911 .38 Super, I had a hot round blow back through the magazine. It caused the grips to shatter and fall away from the pistol. When I released my grip, the pieces fell onto the counter leaving only small chunks at the screws. Had I been using the original wooden or rubber grips, it is quite possible I might not have even known that I had had a blowback. That being said, these grips re outstandingly attractive and added a touch of class to a relatively inexpensive pistol. I was disappointed to lose them. However, hindsight is always 20/20 and this incident clearly demonstrates that the grips are better for display pistols than for working pistols that are fired regularly. The nature of the acrylic is such that it does nothing to absorb the shock of shooting the weapon and that makes it impractical for every day use. Frankly, I don't know why they are called "premium" grips and priced as such because all they really are is simply a high quality molded plastic type of material that requires little, if any, finishing work after they are released from the mold. As such, they ought to be priced about half of what I paid for them here on Amazon. I've given them 3 stars simply because they fit well and they were very attractive.

WOW! First off, the package came in 3 days. I placed the order on the 17th of Dec and received it on Dec 20th. The grips makes my Taylor Tactical M1911 A1-FS look so expensive and rich. I love the feel and looks. As soon as I received the package, I installed them and went to the range. Talk about looks and questions. The grips felt really nice and solid after a hundred rounds down range. I would buy from this seller again.

our neighbors have these had to ask where did they find them and now that I own them I can say they are perfect. So many different things one can do with these hangers. Real strong wrought iron even though made in China I hate to say only kind around. Amazon had them at great price and got them asap. Completely satisfied and really happy we have them now.would highly recommend.

All I can say is great! I wish I had bought them sooner, because these grips are thicker on the right side of my pistol grip witch make it more comfortable and seemingly more accurate. Although I have yet to take my gun to the range, it just feels more controllable. ( If that makes sense) Anyway I love them.

Works great as designed

Ordered these for my Girsan MC 1911 and the vendor shipped quick, the grip holes needed to be enlarged so they would fit properly. Just drilled a little larger holes and everything is now snug.

These look amazing on my Remington RS-1 1911! Feel nice as well. Takes 5 mins if you take your time to install. Great quality , great price!
