I suffer with C-PTSD and depression. This means I can experience flashbacks and nightmares.This past year my sleep has suffered greatly,where I have trouble getting off to sleep,have nightmares,and can wake every hour or so and then be unable to settle again for a long time.I had thought of buying a weighted blanket for some time,but was sceptical as to whether it would really help,especially as they are rather expensive.I finally ordered one after reading reviews for various different blankets,on Boxing Day,and received it the following day.What can I say,but WOW!This blanket is SO soft and warm.I ordered the heaviest one,as I am rather on the large side myself,and it is actually a really good size too.It isn't a miracle worker,BUT it does help relax me in bed.I now tend to fall asleep a little easier.I still have nightmares,and wake in the night,but I don't wake as often as I used to,and not for very long either.I've only been using it for 4 nights,and I've felt that those 4 nights have been the best sleep I've had in about 10 months.I really wish I'd bought one earlier!Definitely recommend!The only thing that would make this even better?An extra cover - maybe a cotton/cooler one for warmer nights.

Feels great and gives me a good night sleep. A workout trying to lift it up and shake it when you make the bed. I put it on top of my thick duvet and it just pushes into me comfortably

The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was (for the money) it could have come with a spare cover, other than that I find it really helpful. I am a shift worker who can't sleep during the day and can't switch off my head most nights either. I got the heaviest one and I find it really comforting, it doesn't tent over you like a regular blanket, it kind of hugs you and pins you down but in a nice way. Cover is nice and soft and it has tethers inside to help stop the blanket bunching up. People laugh when I tell them about it, but then they go a read up on weighted blankets and ask where I got mine from.

Despite getting 7-8 hours sleep a night, I always find myself tired in the morning, struggling to get up. Having heard that a heavy blanket may help, I decided to purchase one.I wasn’t prepared for just how heavy this blanket would be. And of course it's this that gives you the feeling of being tucked in tight like a child, or swaddled like a baby. It’s super comforting and lulls you to sleep. You really have to experience it for yourself to understand what I’m saying.I move around a lot in my sleep, so the first night I woke up a few times finding myself wanting to turn around. However, after a couple of nights it wasn’t a problem any more. In actual fact, my sleep quality (which I measure using the Sleep Cycle app) has improved since using the blanket - coincidence? I think not.I don’t usually write reviews, but given that we spend so much time sleeping, I felt compelled to say something about this blanket. Invest in it and invest in yourself! You won’t regret it.

Would have one in every room in my house. Its like a hug. Sleep improved. Cover is beautiful amd soft. Outstanding! I got the 20kg so it was heavier . Could not sleep without it now

This is my new favourite possession!!! So warm and heavy it sends me straight to sleep :) it’s very comforting and feels like you’re being hugged; as someone who suffers from stress and anxiety my sleep is very irregular. I often wake up with tummy aches or unable to get back to sleep after 4 hours. My first night with this blanket I slept for 9 hours and only woke up twice, being able to roll over and go straight back to sleep! Worth every penny and fully recommend for people who struggle to get to sleep and stay asleep!

Although comfy the blanket kept detaching from the cover and some of the internal straps broke within days due to the weight. Once broken the blanket moves about more underneath and ends up in one place so had to return
