Rubies Monarch Butterfly Pet Costume, X-Large

My little butterfly took flight in this hilarious Halloween costume. It was perfect, and she didn't mind it at all, save for the flower, which she did not enjoy having on her head. I put it on her neck instead, and it works there, too.I ordered an XL for my Brittany, Ripley. Ripley is slightly large for a Brittany, about 20" tall and 39 lbs with a 24" chest. The XL fits a little snugly around her chest, but if I ordered a larger size, it would be way too big. It fastens, and it stayed on and the velcro did not come loose at all during our little impromptu photo shoot, which is a success in my book.Overall, I think it was worth the price and it made for some very cute pictures. The material is a little thin, and you have to be really careful with the sizing (a larger dog definitely wouldn't fit in this size), but I would purchase a similar costume in the future.

Love these little butterfly costumes on my French Bulldog and Pug girls. They are well made for the price and perfect for Halloween dress up! Pug Trixie weighs 15 lbs. Frenchie Lulu weighs 18 lbs. Although I knew the chest would be a "maybe" fit I purchased size Medium, knowing the Large would be too long on their shorter bodies. The neck piece fastens just fine, but the chest is a half inch too small. Doesn't matter. They look ADORABLE and the large would have fit the chest, but been way to large otherwise. Score one for their Mom! Ha!

This outfit is soooooo cute! I chose the medium for my Bichon/Poodle, Daphne. It's so hard to guestimate the size to purchase. Every dog is different. Daphne weighs 9 lbs, but she's a bit barrel chested. The costume fit her body perfectly , but she kept stepping on the flounces with her back feet. I'm going to pin them up so it looks more like a bustle. The wings seem attached well, but I'm thinking about hand sewing some stitches so they stay in place. I personally don't think Daphne would tolerate the flower cap, so I'm thinking about attaching it to the middle of the wings. I'll take some photos of her at our local Renaissance festival and post them later.

My dog tore off the wings that were HOT GLUED to the costume within 10 minutes of wearing it. It was not made for a large dog so I had to add some stretch straps to it to get it to fit. The material isn't meant for dog teeth or going to hold up to any snags. I gave it a three because it was so cute on her for the time she kept the wings where it belonged. For the price that I paid it should have held up longer.

I like the costume a lot. But the problem is that I followed several reviewers advice and sized up for our 13 lb. Havanese. It is too large. No problem with the quality. I ordered a large, instructions say to order a medium for our size dog. I will reorder a medium.

I ordered a small and it fits my 11lb Yorkie perfect! I ordered the “black & gray” option since it was cheaper and it looks exactly like the candy corn butterfly in the main pic. Not sure what to do with the little flower headband though as my dog hates anything on her head/face. Lastly I love how stuff the wings are, aren’t all floppy and weird.

It’s a really cute costume! My dog is a cattle dog mixed with a shepherd with quite odd measurements and got her an XL (she is 29” long and 22” around her chest). It fits her surprisingly well, I just had to cut the arm holes since they were a little bit too small. Otherwise, my dog was pretty comfy in it and moved freely. It’s kinda flimsy material in the body, but I think 100% it will hold up through the next month/Halloween season.

We got this to fit our medium sized dog, but it came way too small. We got medium it came in a size to fit a smaller dog. If I knew this I would of got a large. The medium outfit fit my kids promise pet from build a bear.

I had to return mine as it was too large. I have found that Rubie's costumes simply don't fit my dog. The small is too small and the medium too big. I really wish this costume had fit my dog as it was very pretty and the skirt was full.

My lab in this pic is 56lbs and we bought an xl. I had to cut the front leg holes and add about 5 inches of material on both sides. And add more Velcro to the belly. I should have sent this back but I just loved how cute it was. Too bad it didn’t fit properly

It was really cute but cheaply made. The left wing came apart after like 10 minutes of wear. It looked as though it was glued together not sewn on the wing
