DeSantis Dual Angle S&W Governor Right Hand Tan

This is a great holster for the Governor. The fit and finish is excellent. Contrary to the directions that came with the holster, I added two coats of Obenauf's leather oil to the outside to soften it up. Then I worked the thumb strap a little more bending it back away from the gun until stayed tilted away from the gun once it was unsnapped. This little extra will prevent any scratching of the metal when taking the gun out or putting it back in the holster. You will love this holster!

I finally got the right one!! -- I tried two others before this, and returned them both. Not only is this a perfect fit for my governor with the crimson trace sight, but IMHO it is the best quality of any of the others. This is a very good-quality holster for the price. It is nice and firm and I love the two-option configuration. I withheld one star because I think the snap could have been implemented a little better. It catches the revolver recoil shield on draw, and I guess it could potentially scratch the frame (though mine hasn't yet). I am getting used to wedging my thumb in there during draw so that it clears the snap;Overall, a very good holster at a good value. I would recommend it to a friend.

Excellent manufacturing quality, solid, comfortable to wear, perfectly adapted to the S & W Governor. Dual angle is very convenient for professionals.

I was very pleased with the holster. This was the best option I could find for my governor pistol. I have read the complaints about the thumb break snap scratching the revolver, but since there are not many other options available, I think this was my way to go. As the holster was quite tight, I put 3 quart freezer bags together, inserted the pistol, and am pleased with the result.

As the title says, this holster will scratch your expensive $700-$900 revolver. The safety snap is positioned in such a way that it will rub against the drum every time you draw your firearm or insert it back in. There is a way to do this without leaving marks on the revolver but you would have to be very mindful every time you unholster it.I cannot find anything wrong with the design besides one nasty metal snap issue so from hero rating to zero. If the snap was recessed below the leather or had a soft leather collar around it; this would be an excellent product.The leather is strong and it's a PERFECT FIT for S&W Governor.The trigger is fully covered and the hammer is well protected by the leather safety strap.The double angle draw design is a nice feature.

I was very surprised to see that this holster has the entire trigger covered unlike the picture on the web site. It appears that DeSantis heard it's customers! I assume this is a new version.I've included a picture of the holster I received.This holster is very nice and the quality is on par with any of the top holster makers.I'm a very happy customer!

My holster came with a couple scratches on it so I think I paid too much money for it.. However it fits my S&W Governor perfectly and works great for right hand orcross draw.
