Exotic Environments Skull Mountain Aquarium Ornament, Tall, 5-1/2-Inch by 5-Inch by 10-Inch

I bought this to use as a model for wargaming. Its a GREAT value. Good scale and durable. Better than most of the products available that are intended for wargamig terrain. The resin is good. Some chipping could occur during shipping. But if you arent using it in a fishtank then you can glue it back. I have also painted some of these peices and they hold paint quite well.

I have a Betta and we did not cycle his tank. We figured we'd try cycling it with him in it.I have become more and more uncomfortable with this idea. So, I decided to setup a bigger 20g tank for him, which is cycling now. He has a skull in his current tank that I dislike, however, he seems to really love it! So, I couldn't take it away from him. Looking for new decorations for his new tank, I couldn't really find anything I wanted. So, I figured, if I can't beat him, join him! I got this and another skull decoration for his new tank that I think he's going to love. This will allow him to sit pretty high up if he wants a place to rest, he can.I think the new tank is coming along very well. I'm happy with what its turning into and was very pleased with this decoration.

My little guy Lou loves it!! The Skull Mountain decoration fit my 3g tank just fine. It looks good and gives him some place to chill out.It arrived intact and the edges were smooth. Because it was going into a brand new tank that I would be cycling first, all I did was rinse it in tap water and put it in the tank. My tank sat empty for awhile to cycle and when I checked the levels before putting Lou in, my levels were fine. I haven't seen any paint our water color changes, so yeah I would totally recommend this item.

This product was way smaller than I was expecting! It took forever to come in (so long we actually forgot we ordered it). Overlooking the size problem (the dimensions are in the add you just have to look hard enough). The quality was inferior, there were small pieces of plastic everywhere like it never got cleaned up after being taken out of the mold. The paint was chipping and half the skulls looked like blob with no detail. The whole thing looked like it would snap if the wind blew to strong!! Terrible purchase so glad I returned it

Love this. Perfect addition for my tall tank - perfect height. I put a multicolor bubbler underneath and drilled a couple small holes at the top to let the excess air escape (so it wouldn’t float away). The light coming out of the eyes looks awesome! And my fish absolutely loves it. It’s light but sturdy!

I was confused about the sizing but just so you know: 9 inch is the width. It's 6 inches high.The photo is a little redder than it is in real life. It's more of a burgundy, more brown-toned. It's still tight but I liked the crimson-blood running from the skulls motif I thought was going on and it's more like a skulls carved into a dying tree trunk kind of vibe.It had a scent out of the package but it was pretty easy to clean with a bottle brush and plenty of rinsing.I didn't find anywhere that needed to be sanded because of sharp edges.It looks super tight. You'd need pretty small fish if you want the whole swimming-through-the-eye-sockets aesthetic.Great in a 20 Gallon tank. Probably perfectly sized to take up about a third of a 10 gallon. Unless you have tiny fish like I mentioned above, I wouldn't recommend going any smaller.Is a good sized hide for a betta-sized fish and makes the tank look pretty awesome.

I love love LOVE this ornament. I was so excited to see it while searching for decorations, and it completely lived up to my expectations. I already had a light up, bubbling volcano and needed something that would match the theme.The quality and details are very good, especially for its price and what you'd pay for similar size decorations in most pet stores. It looks fantastic in my 50 gallon tank and comes just below halfway up in height. If you've got a large-ish tank, you'll probably want some more things to fill out the space, it might look a little sparse with just skull mountain.Best of all, my fish love swimming in and out of it.I believe there are two other pieces to this themed set, and I'm definitely considering picking them up as well.

Would be a five star product if it didn't have all these random cracks along the ornament, shown in the pictures I dropped. A giant piece of the eye came off, but I feel like these pieces were suppose to be popped off at the factory or wherever these were made. One chunk still blocks the hole of one of the eyes. It looks awesome though, wish I could give the product five stars, but, I can't. There's some jagged edges inside, but I don't think that's going to be a problem, I'll probably just sand those areas.

Just what i needed

Product was the dimensions described, however there were sharp edges that required filing. Edges were easily filedIt wasnt a dealbreaker for me as i am adding flora to it as we speak so prep was not a huge deal. As a positive, there is no shortage of nooks and crannies on the outside to attach plants to further make the deco fit in to whatever your tanks environment is. Corners extremely well and i strongly advise this for bowfronts/ small footprint tanks. Skulls were better accented than the pics led me to beleive.All in all, reasonably priced, you get what you pay for, gotta put a little sweat equity in for best effect but it should be a fine addition to my boys' home. I will update should things not turn out as i am hoping

My axolotl loves this cave! And it looks amazing in the tank! Definitely worth the money. This is a 33gallon long tank

Fits perfect in my 10 gallon tank. Little buddy betta didn't like the currents caused by the filter system. Skull mountain solved that problem. Little dude explores it and loves it the only way a fishy can.
