I bought these for my bedroom to help with sound reduction. I've had terrible insomnia lately, not made better by the new parking lot across the street (they literally paved paradise and put in a parking lot), and subsequent shift change traffic streaming by my house beginning at 5 am.First, like other reviewers said, these are super soft, they hang/drape beautifully, and they look really luxe. I bought almond cream, which looks beige in the picture, but it's more of a pinkish tan. Not what I was expecting, but it works and is still a nice, rich neutral.They aren't lined, and they aren't blackout. I previously had drop cloth curtains in the bedroom, and in order to get more sound and light absorption with these, I hung them with the same clips and hung the drop cloths behind them, like a removable lining. It works GREAT. Hardly any light penetrates the room at all. I hung them really high and wide, extending about a food beyond the window frame on either side and really close to the ceiling. I woke up early this morning to see how they'd do with the sound. Yes, I can still hear the cars going by, BUT, the sound is incredibly muffled. It's not enough to wake me up anymore, not even the stupid look-at-me-I'm-clearly-compensating big trucks.So, while they aren't light and sound proof in their own right, they're very nice for the price, and with a simple modification they fit my needs. I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted others who are struggling with noise (and not so much light) to have an honest review of them. They won't solve the problem on their own, but with a really cheap and simple modification I've gotten some relief. Make sure to hang them HIGH and WIDE - remember, the more fabric, the more sound absorption.

These are beautiful! They are soft and truly feel like velvet! I ordered others that claimed to be velvet and arrived with a heavy, thick suede feel, which I immediately returned. So many make false claims in the description. Please know that these, in fact, feel just like velvet! I am very pleased with this purchase. They look great! I ordered the black velvet to hang on either side of my screen in my home theater. They truly compliment the space. Love them!

The drapes are of good quality. If they were used for blackouts I would say they would work well. I used this for sound reduction. There is no noticeable difference when used. Or at least no more than would be expected from drapes. Sound reduction is very minimal. So for sound reduction these might not be the right solution.

Much more of a royal than a navy, but because they are thick they look pretty dark most of the time, great quality, very satisfied.Complete blackout & soft fabric.

Oh my!!!I almost bought the other red / burgundy blackout curtains on Amazon that cost around $35. In the end I decided to splurge on these, since I don't buy curtains every day. I thought the velvet feel would add something extra to the decor.Was I right! They add an amazing luxurious feel to the room. They feel soft, rich, heavy (but not too heavy like real velvet). When it's sunny out they keep the light out but they acquire this gorgeous glowing red color. Otherwise the color looks a dark red, almost burgundy but not quite. It has depth. Quality seams, delightful fabric... I'm so pleased!

Overall I’m happy. I really hoped that they were a deeper Navy blue. The picture in the middle shows the actual color. They are super soft and just the right thickness without looking like your grandma living room. The seems are not exactly equal but not noticeable at all. The shipment did take a little longer than expected however packed well. I would most definitely order from them again!

The curtains are light in weight, luxurious, formal in appearance and excellent black out curtains for a bedroom. The royal blue is a true royal blue shade, although it can look a little darker (more like navy) in a less sunny room. The texture varies, giving the curtains a lovely light-catching appearance. I am highly pleased with this product and will order another pair in a different color for the master bedroom. Curtains are washable in tepid or cold water, and can be rehung quickly, with no wrinkles. Perfect.

I originally purchased blue velvet curtains from a highly rated seller but found that the 96” drop was too short. I needed a a drop of at least 106” but those curtains from the same seller were going to cost DOUBLE what I paid for the 96” panels. Around the same time, I had ALSO purchased another set of velvet curtains for a different room in my house from a second seller with good reviews, but found the quality of those to be completely lacking. I was contemplating just sticking with the 96” blue velvet drop curtains to avoid having to purchase a longer from a third seller and end up with low quality curtains. I searched and searched, and found these curtains, returned the other sets of curtains and decided to take a chance on the quality. I am so happy I did. The measurements are ACCURATE, the color is as described/expected, and the quality is just as good as the first set of panels that were too short and had to be returned. In case anyone is wondering, these are just rod pocket panels, no tabs, which isn’t a surprise but may be important to some buyers to know up front (sometimes these things aren’t clear in the seller descriptions and you just have to roll the dice and find out). I love that these curtains are in fact thicker curtains that block out a good 90% of the light. I’m really happy with my purchase and thankful to find a seller on Amazon whose product is as described, as that’s getting to be the exception these days rather than the rule. One last note: the color is royal blue, however, you can see a portion of my royal blue wall in this photo that is a slightly different level of brightness; they’re BOTH royal blue, but the heaviness/thickness of the fabric makes the curtains appear to be a darker shade of blue because it is less reflective of light. Love them.

Wow!! These curtains are just beautiful arrived today. Ordered x2 for my patio doors hang perfect and are so soft. Just been outside definitely blackout can’t see through at all. Would 100% recommend these

Just so people know: Each purchase came with 2 panels. I wasn't sure, so ordered twice. Just as well, because the width is not generous.
