Very good product - needs better cap
This product was first recommended to me by my vet to spray on Lily's paws when she seems to be having an allergic reaction. I wind up using it about two or three times a week and it is an excellent product. I did not give 5 stars because the packaging leaves a bit to be desired. The bottle comes in a plastic bag and the top delivery portion is wrapped in what looks like Saran wrap. Despite this, there was leakage in the plastic bag. I don't know how much product was lost, but efforts should be made to use a better leak-proof cap. The sprayer device is excellent, it is easy to use and easy to pinpoint where the product should be sprayed. As I said, 5 stars if it had a better cap.

Coco Latte' says "Owchie!".
I purchased this for my Shih Tzu/:Lhasa Apso mix, Coco Latte'. Coco suffers from environmental allergies. She frequently gets itchy skin infections because of her allergies. I cannot attest to the long-term benefits of this product in treating dogs, because I'm not willing to use it on my dog consistently. My dog does not have open sores, is not bleeding, and does not appear to have raw hot spots. I have noticed, however, that when I spray the Malacetic on her skin, she appears to experience some discomfort. I warm the bottle before spraying it on her (I fill the bathroom sink with warm water and let the bottle sit it it until it's sufficiently warmed up. By the way, doing this with ear drops is something dogs appreciate immensely!!) I sprayed the Malacetic on my own arm where I had a small cut that was mostly healed up, and I did feel a sting. I imagine my dog feels a sting as well. I decided to stick with making my own mixture of povidone iodine and water. (Mix together in a spray bottle until the color of iced tea and sponge it on. No need to rinse off. )

Works well!
This was recommended for my dog who has allergies that flare up once in a while and occasionally gets a “hot spot”. Easy to use. I spray it on and rub it into the area. Does not have any scent to it which is nice.

Allergy problem resolved
This company Has everything for any dog with allergies I have tried. So many things including allergy shots from the vet. These products are by far the best thing as save me a lot of money. My dog is completely clear of any hot spots and not scratching 24 hours a day.

WONDERFUL product. I sprayed this on all over Chavez's body after his bath with the DermaPet Malacetic shampoo and it was perfect. It tamed his coat and made his hair smell WONDERFUl. It also helped with his itchy skin. Highly recommended and I will purchase this again.

Good supplemental product
I thought I would use this item more, but haven't. I use it every now and then on my elderly cat, in between washes with Malacetic Shampoo.
