This collar actually works if your dog has no fleas already. I know they are no good for an infestation but will repel fleas and ticks black flies and mosquitoes quite well. I live in Maine where fleas are a tremendous problem this time of year. I put this on the dog last month and still not a single flea. And if there are fleas I know as I’m so highly allergic to them. It’s best to put these on in march orFebruary about a month or so before flea season begins. You will find they offer amazing protection. You must stretch the collar to activate it. I take it off weekly and stretch it. My mother did that for years and flea collars worked well for her. I am so glad to find such a good and inexpensive repellent for the dog. Remember they will do nothing for an infestation but if you give the dog a flea bath get rid of them then put the collar on it will work. It’s best to keep the dog in for 48 hours after you put the collar on to allow for the medicine to spread. Mama was a vet and that’s how she used flea collars. If collar is not working STRETCH good and hard it must be stretched before you put it on the animal. This collar gets five tails up for my dog ShadowHere we are now in august even after several baths not a hint of a flea or tick. I will never use anything else on shadow again

I found that a few of my lets had gotten fleas so I bought 7 of these flea collars for my dogs and 3 for my cats. I also bought flea shampoo spent a whole day bathing all my animals spraying flea spray all over my house cleaning dog beds and sheets. Put these collars on all my babies. And what would you know. They got maybe a day of relief and went back to itching. I checked them after 2 days hoping it was just a couple left behind as the packaging says it can take a couple days to kill off the harder to kill one's. Nope. Still after a week they are as miserable as a week ago. Itching and getting sores from the itching. So after dropping over 100 dollars between 10 collars they do nothing. Don't waste your money. Since I can't get mine back because I've had them way to long hoping it was just taking longer. So now I have to drop more money to try a different preventative

Does what it's supposed to do. No fleas on my dog :) My only complaint is the latch.. i have to adjust the collar 1-2 times a week before it becomes undone. ( i do leave a little extra length for slippage so it takes longer to become undone) I have caught my dog without the collar, but luckily no evidence of dog chewing the collar so i simply put collar back on dog. I like this product and will continue to re purchase

I put these on a short haired dog and a long haired dog. both h.ad good results for the 1st day, then started having problem with fleas again. it is keeping it down some but is not stopping the scratching. it is suppose to last fot 7 months.. I am leaving on to see if maybe it was eggs hatching. it does not say that it kills the eggs. time will tell. right now, it does not appear to work as it says on the box.

Great buy

Have used this brand for years and have never had a problem with fleas or ticks. It's difficult and can be expensive finding the larger collars. Zodiac is the only one that's inexpensive, comfortable, works as advertised, and doesn't irritate our Bully. We'd tried another brand recently, because the large size was out of stock, and very sorry we did, as she experienced a tremendous allergic reaction under her neck, which left her with hair loss, irritation, and a thickening of her skin as it healed over. Couldn't wait to find her size available from Zodiac again! Thank you Zodiac!!!

They absolutely work on fleas. Are they flimsy? Yes. do they come off easy? Honestly I can see how it could but I have two very playful dogs and the only time they come off is if one physically pulls it off the other. For the price I wouldn’t expect anything more. I found 1 flea after being at someone’s house who had them so I got these, gave them a bath and we haven’t found any since!
