Disney BB-8 Spinning Top - Star Wars: The Force Awakens

He is sooo cute!! His head is the perfect size. I don't like the ones that are only slightly smaller than the body. I admit I bought him to just sit on my desk so it's not a toy I'm actually playing with. I do turn him on from time to time. It is on the loud side and is just a spinning top. He is a little translucent but I'm guessing that's so you can see him light up. Totally cute though!!

My son loved this! It does not do much but spin, light up, and make some BB-8 noises but that is exactly what a spinning top is supposed to do.

THIS IS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE EXPENSIVE ROLLING MODELS BUT CAN BE A BIT DANGEROUS FOR YOUNG KIDS. MY SON IS 5 AND HE KNOWS NOW HOW TO HANDLE IT BUT PRIOR TO LEARNING HE GOT HIS FINGERS HURT A FEW TIMES. WITH NEW BATTERRIES THIS TOP CAN GET SPINNING AT A PRETTY HIGH VELOCITY AND IF YOU ATTEMPT TO GRAB IT TO STOP THE SPINNING, THE HEAD CAN DO QUITE A NUMBER TO YOUR FINGER TIPS DUE TO A SMALL PART THAT STICKS OUT ( I BELIEVE IT IS TO BE THE DROIDS EYE PIECE THAT IS RAISED). HAVING SAID THAT, IF YOU LET IT SPIN UNTIL IT WOBBLES OUT OF PLACE AND HITS THE FLOOR, IT FEELS THAT THAT SAME PIECE THAT KITS YOUR FINGERS IS THE SAME PART THAT HITS THE FLOOR. IN DUE TIME I'M SURE THIS COULD DAMAGE THE ALLIGNMENT OF THE DROIDS HEAD MAKING IT A BIT UNSTABLE AS IT SPINS FROM WHAT IM STARTING TO SEE. ONCE THE BATTTERIES DIE DOWN A BIT, IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE NOTICABLE. THE ROTATIONS ARE PRETTY FAST TO THE POINT WHERE YOU CAN FEEL THE VIBRATIONS WHEN THE HEAD IS NOT CENTERED IF IT HITS THE FLOOR TOO MUCH. MY SON DOESN'T PLAY WITH IT MUCH AFTER THE NOVELTY RAN OFF AND A FEW TOO MANY HITS ON THE FINGERS BUT IT IS A NICE TOY THAT LIGHTS UP AND MAKES SOUNDS. I GOT IT SLIGHTLY CHEAPER BEFORE CHRISTMAS ON AMAZON.

This is really cute and looks like it would be a lot of fun to watch. There is a very very tiny screw that needs to be unscrewed in order to get the batteries in. That is why I only gave 4 stars - that little screw is a PAIN!

This toy is very annoying and not fun. When you turn it on it just makes a lot of noise and spins randomly around. It does not even stand up like a normal top. My 10 and 7 year old daughter were not impressed. Maybe young boys would have a different opinion.

My dog loved barking at it! It's not as technical as the more expensive models. We have the collectable action figure, and this was just an added novelty. Since this was a gift for my husband, I'm glad I got something that I didn't spend a lot of money on, knowing that it would not be played with for long. It works great, kinda fast, though. Still a fun gift.

The media could not be loaded. Immediately out of the box, with new batteries this thing was very, very loud, could not get it to spin, All the thing does is vibrate (excessively) and makes noises. My daughter chose to use her christmas money on this which made it more disappointing. She never got to actually play with it. It just sits on her desk and she can turn it on and watch it vibrate and make noise. That is it. With as much as it vibrates, I wont be surprised if things start falling apart soon. Would like to have the real thing. My advice, just spend the extra money on the Sphero droid. I hear that one is actually pretty good

Buying this online I thought that just the top would spin, not that it is actually a spinning top. I just wanted something that would make sounds and move to give the cats some fun. Big surprise for us, we love it. Great lights and sounds and it is a great top, all battery powered.
