I read a few reviews saying that the silent ticking wasn't actually silent and foolishly decided to buy this anyway. I woke up to a loud scraping sound from the second hand and couldn't get it to stop. It's not as simple as removing and replacing the movement also as it is bolted to the face of the clock. Not worth the money in my opinion. Couldn't be bothered to send back so threw in the bin

Nice design. However, after a about a year, it doesn't work properly. The mechanism seems to be getting stuck every time the second hand moves between 1 and 5 and starts erratically ticking and jumping instead of smoothly sweeping. It gains 5 minutes every couple of weeks probably due to this fault. I'll try repairing it with a new mechanism.

Lovely looking clock but stopped working after 18 months. Really disappointed.

Bought it for the office/bedroom and was completely silent for the first week but the ticking became louder and had to move it out as although its quieter than a standard clock it is more difficult to ignore.Other than that the clock looks good and modern, would recommend for rooms with less echo or where silence is not requiredBetter quality of materials for the mechanism or some dampening would make this the perfect clock.

Although this clock is described as "silent sweep" it is not entirely silent, as it still makes a slight ticking sound. I have deducted a star for this, but considered deducting two stars as I really wanted a totally silent clock. Having said that, the clock itself is very modern and sleek and I love the look of it. Just wish it was silent.

A lovely looking wall clock. Nice size, beautifully modern grey face & it keeps good time. The silent sweep motion makes it ideal for a bedroom. I usually buy Normann wall clocks but this one is equally as good! Very pleased with my purchase. Would happily buy a Space Hotel clock again. 5 stars.

Liked the styling on this, but its not a true silent clock.Would be fine in say a living room, but in the silence of my bedroom that seconds hand sounds like a quiet chipmunk incessantly gnawing on wood, doubt its more than 5 decibels but definitely not for a bedroom.Stuck it up in the lobby, looks great but not what i bought it for.
