My husband And I like to find fun creative things to do as a family with our son. I have seen a few crystal growing toys that looked cool and was waiting till my son was old enough. This one really stood out to me because of the pretty light display case it comes with so your child can really enjoy long term what they have created. Because he’s 4 he might have shaken the tablets a little when putting them in. I think that may be why ours grew in the square shape of the container instead of straight up. Ours seemed like they had their full potential growth on about day 3. My son was excited to wake up every morning and check on the progress of his crystals. We Let them sit two more days and once it seemed them were done growing it was time to take them out. One came out easy but like i said I believe our “tablet” was spread out on the bottom so our crystals were in the shape of a square. I used a butter knife to crack the center out and you can see we kept little pices as well and mixed all the colored crystals together- they look very pretty like a colorful garden under the lights and my son has been enjoying them in his room ever since! What a great gift this would be for birthdays, will definately buy again in the future and when my youngest gets older.

This is a great craft after completion. If your crystals don’t grow after one week, as it says in the manual to discard the liquid, I would suggest to let the crystals continue grow in the liquid for as long as you see it growing..From the pictures I attached, I let the crystals continue growing for about 3 whole weeks, as after the 1st week, the crystals barely grew…but after 3 weeks, they grew wonderfully… be sure to put a paper underneath, as some splashes/mess occur during the growth…My kids really enjoyed to see the development of the crystals as they grew differently everyday..When we put the crystals in the globe , it lighted only 1-2 times, after that no light, which got my kids disappointed..even we couldn’t put batteries underneath as it seems glued, we couldn’t open it at all. I then contacted the supplier who kindly accepted to send another kit free of charge…

We got this for my nephew for Christmas and he's been growing crystals while snowed in. Makes a great winter project when too cold to play outside. They grew them 1 at a time, so it lasted longer and fun for Dad and mom to help out too. I'm amazed at the photos and how big they grew. I highly recommend this for anyone, kids and adults alike. It was a fun project.

I really enjoyed making these crystals with my 5 year old. They turned out so pretty when waiting the full week to let them form. The only thing I will add is to make sure you place the small crystalized rocks gently in the cup otherwise they won't grow fully if the smaller rocks on top come off. Also, the base is really bright and makes for a super bright nightlight which is the original reason I bought this set. It's almost too bright.

Overall it was a great project for my kids. They loved waking up each morning and checking to see how much they crystals grew. I did expect the crystals to be a little bigger than they were.

This works very well. My little nephew LOVED it. We waited two weeks for the crystals to completely grow out and they were beautiful. They almost didn't fit inside the display dome. The price was a little too much for what you get and the inexpensive materials. The display lights are impressive.

This kit is easy to do. Follow the easy instructions and you will have 4 large gorgeous crystals in about a week. It is important to use boiling water to dissolve the crystal solution. Also important to completely dissolve the solution in the boiling water for this to work properly. My children enjoyed checking the crystals everyday as they grew. The lighted display base will plug in or take batteries. The plastic dome top looks cheap to me, but my kids are happy with it.

We gave it to my grandson for his birthday! He enjoyed watching the rocks grow.

My son is 7 years old and I got this as a Christmas gift. We work on this together and each day you can see the crystals grow and he gets excited!!!

So we haven't used the light yet. I am not sure if we messed something up or what. the crystals didn't grow correct. We have done other crystal growing in the past so not really sure what happend.

We have purchased crystal growing kits in the past that were much more difficult. This kit is easy to use and gives you everything you need (other than boiling water). It’s fun to watch them grow every day!

Out of the four crystals, one grew and three "half" grew. My grandson had fun with the kit but somewhat disappointing for the adult.

A gift for granddaughter who received this gift before by her other grandparent, unbeknownst to me. When she opened the box she had a big smile on her face because if is a very fun experimental game.

My 8yr old son absolutely loved doing this and wanted me to make sure I put a 5 star review on it! They turned out great!

My kids loved watching the crystals grow day by day. Very cute and looks really petty in the globe.
