3/4" H Colonel Eagles Collar Brass Rank Insignia Gold Finish Police Fire Military Uniform Pin

I bought this for an art project and needed to make it look aged. I've done this with other pieces of metal before and figured it would be no problem to do it here since it's a low-priced item off of Amazon. Easy peasy, right?I started with my normal method, vinegar and salt, for 30 minutes. No change. Then I did that same method overnight. No change. I coated it in vinegar and baked it in a 400 degree oven. No change. I used a wire brush to dull it. No change. I used bleach gel on it. I started to see the edges turning green and was relieved and excited that I was making progress. Then I rinsed off the bleach and, you guessed it, no change. I resorted to using paints for miniatures which turned out OK. At least the paint stuck.If you are looking for a pin that can stand up to acid, heat, salt, and bleach, look no further. This is it.
