With Love, Little Red Hen

I searched for this book to add to a Christmas gift for my friend. I bought it to go with a ceramic baking dish that is a red hen. The book is so well illistrated and there is a bit of a twist in the story of the Little Red Hen. I am sure she will love it!

I used this when I taught language arts. Very good extension to the text. Motivator for beginning letter writing.

A version of LRH unlike any others

What a sweet book. You could hear nothing but laughs in my classroom.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. She really liked it. I peeked at it before giving it to her and liked it too. It's sort of a fractured Fairy Tale. CUTE!

The Little Red Hen is adorable and shares her adventures with us and makes us laugh. Good to read to children, holds their attention and is fun to read.

My friend suggested this book to me and when I read it, as a mother of 7 of my own chicks, I cried. This is a sweet tale of neighborly kindness and the joys of hard work and service. I love how it ties in all the fairy tale characters and let me introduce some lesser known fairly tales to my children. This is well written and illustrated in such a cute style. I love it!

These stories are beautifully illustrated. Many favourite fairy tale characters are in these stories. Amongst them, the little red hen, peter Rabbit, the three bears, Goldilocks, the big bad wolf, the three little pigs and Little Red Riding Hood. The stories are written in letter format. letters from one character to another. The style is different from a normal story book. I like the concept. It makes my kids think about what happened to prompt such a letter. It also gives room to discuss feelings and a person's point of view. love these books!

Suitable for year 2 children, nice illustrations and interesting communication through letter writing.
