Great Buy for Money!
This appears to be an unlicensed strat body copy. It was nicely sanded and filled and primed ready for paint. Very good for @$50. I noticed that the price went up about $20 once I bought it from $49.* to $69.*. Again for about $50 it's not bad. The drilled screw holes for the neck were a little rough and unrefined so expect to use a slightly larger drill bit and reverse drill the edges to clean it up kind of like a countersink maneuver. Also the routing for the pickups was really rough and I took an Exacto knife and fine mini woodworking chisels to fix that. Mine had a large dent on the treble side horn which may or not have occurred during shipping. Bottom line it's worth it in my application of prototyping (working out the kinks of) the rather complex custom electronics while the final non-strat body Is being custom painted for a custom build I'm working on. Not sure yet what I'm going to do, whether or not I'm going to apply any finish coats. It is indeed made out of three pieces of ash which is the heavier and denser of the two woods typical Fender Strat bodies are made out of, the other being the lighter alder wood. The pictures will show that gnarly 1/2" ding and the screw holes have been cleaned and the single coil center route has been enlarged to accommodate a humbucker and all the cavities have had shielding paint applied. May the Farce be with you.

Not Bad For The Price
It's not bad for the price, I had to reroute the neck pocket some to fit a strat size neck base and had to reseal wood as it was still had open grain, even though it had been sprayed, but I've purchased many of these styles of bodies from many low priced sellers and they all have something to rework on them, it's just small issues that anyone with any common sense can remedy, but just be aware first time buyers, these lower priced bodies aren't perfect, go to warmoth or allparts etc. if you want a very nicely done high quality body, but you'll pay 3 times the money for them, so it depends on what your looking for,the seller probaly gets them from China and that tells alot, but if you don't mind putting a little work in them, they are well worth the money.

Good enough.
Knowing this was going to be a project, I figured I'd give it a try. Price was right anyway. Wood quality is just so so. My box was labeled wootang wood. (I don't know what the hell that is, but ok.) As others have stated, neck pocket needs to be fitted to your neck, I actually like that. It ensures that your neck will work if you have to fit it. The cavity needed to be opened a little for the bottom tone pot to fit. It did have a ding in the body by the bridge. The wire hole for the jack wasn't drilled. Needed to sand and round the edges. If you don't mind a little work, it'll make a decent body. It ain't plug and play.

Great value.
Great value...This is probably not for beginners to woodworking, unless you have quite a bit of time to make sure you do it right.-1 star for pickup slots description, it says HSH. (Mine was not HSH, it was just HSS)I was able to router out the pickup slots the way I wanted. It is clear that there are three different pieces of wood so you may not be able to decide on the finish you want until you get the thing.I like that it is nice hard wood.I know that a number of reviews say that the neck attachment area is not routed out enough... well when you work with wood its easier to take wood off than to put it back on.... just my 2¢.

The neck pocket is too small so that has to ...
The neck pocket is too small so that has to be addressed the email body is a hard wood so mamke sure you drill your holes slightly bigger once screws are in they are tight too come out broke 2 pickguard screws and stripped all the heads on the tremolo bridge screws thats how tight the wood gets around the screws ive built plenty of guitars and this was the hardest wood i had to deal with

These bodies do need a lot of work but if you're good they are worth the money
I ordered 2 bodies because I had several necks I needed to get rid of. First body is free of blemishes and marks and the grain is smooth and even but the second has a few knots and dark patches. These bodies do need a lot of work but if you're good they are worth the money.

Sending it back
Did not get what was pictured was not an HSH. But a SSS. Also the neck route was overcut almost to the pick up route. Large scratch on upper horn face. Good price and I knew it would not be perfect but its just to poorly machined to keep.

Great but the pocket for the neck is too shallow..otherwise,5 star
would of been 5 stars but for one problem,..the neck saddle is to shallow for a orig Fender neck and 8 other necks..if you buy it,..you will need a dremel..Beautiful otherwise..
