I bought this journal because I wanted to feel like an adventurer with a mysterious, leather-bound book. And I do! I thought the pages were going to be much thinner than they are but I'm glad they're not, as they allow me to write with fountain pen. If you want something that looks aged and beautiful, I strongly recommend this journal, especially if you're into fantasy and adventure!

I loved the handmade feel of the paper, and the way in which it had been stitched into the book format with thin leather strips. It's an unusual form of bookbinding that works well and stands up to everyday use. The paper's edges had the look of individual handmade sheets. The body of the paper was a good consistent weight, useful for journalling. I haven't tried a fountain pen with it, so cannot say if the ink would spread, but with biro and pencil it is certainly fine. The leather cover is sturdy and I like the way it is fastened. The method of binding allows some leeway for inserting items that I want to keep with the journal, such as paper clippings, pressed plants etc. Useful and attractive. Thank you.

I bought this as a present, and now want one for myself. Beautifully crafted, a treasure for storing memories. Lovely cover, thick paper pages, all well made. Hard to find anything to dislike, even the price.
