Does not feel like $1500 build quality
So many letdowns in this chair. I'm not very satisfied with this purchase.1. Seat and back padding. It feels like cheap foam that will break down completely in a few years. I was expecting something that felt more like chairs in offices I've worked in over the years. The seat also feels--flat, like it's not contoured for a human butt at all. It *looks* fine, but the padding is so soft that when you sit down, it flattens out. I can squeeze hard enough with my fingers to bottom out the padding. Really unacceptable for a chair this expensive and I'm sure I'll wind up getting a separate pad eventually.2. Headrest. The arms that attach the headrest to the chair are *plastic*. They flex easily and feel like they could be easily snapped.3. Lumbar support. The adjustment sliders and stops feel like more cheap plastic, and the levers sometimes slide down to the lowest setting.4. Arm rests. The edges are squared off and not supported well. I can tell the plastic will eventually crack and the padding will start flaking off.I'm also worried that the stop for the reclining back will wear out, but I can't say for sure since the mechanism is enclosed.Good things about the chair:Lumbar support is really flexible overall. The optional wheels for hard floors are really nice. (The chair 'legs' do stick out far enough to make them a toe menace, however.)Arm rest adjustment is nicely flexible.Seat height adjusts low enough to account for my stubby legs.

Love the chair HATE THE HEADREST
I was able to adjust the chair easily using the on-line guides and it is really comfortable. Then I leaned back a little and realized that there is no way to feel comfortable with the head rest. If you look at it from the side view it pushes your head forward, even if you try to make it fit at the base of your skull. I also ordered a red chair and received a black one but these days it seems best to just take what you get.

Very happy with this chair
As a professional day-trader, I am sitting at my trading station for many hours a day. I needed to replace a leather executive office chair that was worn out and that was causing considerable back and rear-end pain (I am of thin build with little rear end padding :-)). I considered the Steelcase Leap 2 vs the Hermon Miller Aeron. I chose the Steelcase because of the more traditional cloth material vs the mesh and reviews I'd read about the comfort of mesh for people like me. The return policy was really attractive as well even though I did not need it. The Leap chair has made a huge difference in dealing with my chronic back and rear end pain. Key to this is the really flexible adjustments for seat depth, back stops, back force, lower back firmness, and lumbar height. I'm very happy with my decision to go with the LEAP v2.

Nice. But more affordable options
This was once an affordable mid-tier chair at $1000. After Black Friday, Steelcase raised the price $500 with no changes or improvements. Still a great chair but just too expensive.

Worth the money
This chair is expensive, make no mistake. But I sit at my office desk for hours at a time and I needed a comfortable, adjustable, high quality desk chair. The Steelcase Leap is all of that and more. If I had it to do all over again, I would buy this chair again.C. DrakeFallon, NV

Nice butt...
The chair is built well with very nice features. Unfortunately, the seat is the most uncomfortable I have ever used, and for the amount of money was expecting a more comfortable chair.

absolute garbage
I purchased this chair through the Steelcase website ~2 years ago and it's awful. There's no cushion for your seat which has resulted in hip and leg pain. I eventually purchased an orthopedic chair cushion just to make this chair tolerable. Save your money and go with Herman Miller (this is the company my office uses and they're very comfortable).
