Guitar Gumbo: Savory Licks, Tips & Quips for Serious Players

I really like Greg Koch and his work but I was expecting something different from this book. I expected a book with furious rooted blues rock tricks that would also include those famous signature intervallic sounds that Greg does so well.To me this book has a sort of fusion, jazzy orientation that is not what I was looking for from Greg.Still, the book contains lots of useful tricks and tips that have served me well. Great hybrid picking techniques, travis sounding licks that are great to know.

Love Greg Koch, though this is my first book I've ordered, I have watched a lot of his videos. He is clever and witty, so it makes the learning a lot more fun. I have been playing for a long time but am just starting to get into chickin pickin and he has a great teaching technique and keeps things interesting. I would also recommend his DVDs

Greg is cooking up some hot stuff here, as usual you get the great techniques and the humor along with it.

Another winner from one of the best instructors and players today. A must have for advanced guitarists looking for new hot licks and ideas to add to your arsenal of licks.

Die Licks sind alle sehr schnell gespielt und nur dann klingen sie auch gut. Hätte mir persönlich mehr "Blues-Licks" gewünscht. Wenn man sich aber kosequent damit beschäftigt, verbessert sich das eigene Spiel erheblich. Ich nutze die Licks gerne als "Warm-up-Training".
