GREAT VALUE AND HIGH QUALITY
The KAC bike rack is easy to assemble and use. Very rugged with no wobble or rattles. Holds my step thru ebike with no added bars or attachments required. The ratchet hold down system works very well and has a lock and key. Holds my 4 inch fat tires with room to spare. The included tie down strap adds additional security but the bike is plenty stable without it. I recommend using it as safety redundancy is always a good thing. You can’t beat this rack for the price. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.

Excellent! Intuitive design, sturdy, no wobble, holds 2 heavy electric bikes without an issue
I spent a long time looking at different hitch-mount carriers for my and my wife's electric bikes. We have two electric mountain bikes, one a hard-tail with a Yamaha PW-X mid-drive and the other a full-suspension Haibike with a Bosch mid-drive. These are both heavy and expensive bicycles and I wanted something that would be safe and sturdy for transport. The bikes themselves are worth about 8 times what the car we are hauling them is worth. I looked at the Hollywood rack, the Thule, and others. This seemed to be the best value. The ratcheting mechanism appears to be bomb-proof. The components are not made from cheap plastic. The polymer is substantial and almost feels like it is reinforced with fiberglass. Our first trip with the bikes was a 500 miles on the highway and rough roads and the rack did an excellent job.I saw a user comment about needing to switch the orientation of the upright support piece. I do not have any idea why you would need to do this unless your bikes have substantially different top-tube heights and you plan on putting the smaller (or lower top tube) bike nearest to the vehicle. If you are thoughtful when you orient and load the bikes on this rack you should not need to make any modifications; just the standard adjustments for the bike wheelbases. I did not have any issues. The tilt mechanism also came in handy numerous times. I was nervous at first when pivoting 120 pounds of bikes but the rack complied without any issues. This was tremendously helpful when accessing the back of the vehicle. At first, I thought it would be somewhat of a gimmick but alas I was proven wrong.I would recommend this hitch rack to anyone looking for something that is high quality, sturdy, well designed, and that functions excellent.

Works well at a nice price point!
I don't typically write reviews, but felt compelled, as this bike rack works very well for the wife and my E-bikes - one fat tire and the other normal size tires. My bike is just under 65 pounds with the battery off, and hers is just under 50. So we just make the weight capacity with a few pounds to spare. I put the heavier bike on the inside. The rack went together easily with good directions. It is very sturdy and the bikes feel secure. I only have two "complaints" that I would hope for in a future updated version. Otherwise, it would be a perfect 5 stars. My 3.3" tires fit the mount perfectly, but for my wife's bike, I had to wrap the rack where the tires sit, with pipe insulation, otherwise my wife's derailleur would be slamming into the tire rack if there was any movement whatsoever during transport. This scared us, so we wrapped it, and now it is safe. The other precaution she takes is shifting to 1st gear before loading the bike, keeping the derailleur farthest from contacting the rack. My other complaint is that you cannot load the bikes with the vertical post in the down position. This makes it almost impossible to load a bike with one person, (especially on the inside position) as you need to lift the bike into the rack on an angle to get it under the ratcheting style clamp down mechanism in the center (the vertical pipe). It's too bad the clamp down pipe in the center can't fold down prior to loading the bike, and then have enough clearance to bring it vertical again to clamp down on the bike. (It will fold down for storage, but once the bike is on, there is not enough clearance to bring it vertical again). I will also mention that both of our bikes are easy step through models and we absolutely needed the add-on bar to run between the headset and the seatpost, so the rack had something to clamp down on. The Swagman worked well for us, and the price was right in the middle of the pack. So all-in-all it is a good, sturdy, well-priced rack. With a few improvements, it would definitely be a 5 star!

I can't complain
I've had this hitch mounted bike rack for almost two years and have used it for over 5000 miles and I don't have any complaints. It will carry two heavy e-bikes with no problem. It works as promised, sure it might have a surface rust stain here and there, also have had to replace the protective foam on the retaining hooks but you have to expect some wear and tear, nothing lasts forever. Also great service from the manufacturer, I lost the keys and they replaced them in a very prompt manner. Easy to assemble and also easy to mount up on the hitch. Just follow the instructions for assembly and use, don't forget to use the safety straps that are provided with the rack. Highly recommend this bike rack.

Buy beware
Not bad at the price point, and seems sturdy. However, if keys are lost or need to be replaced you are left to your own devices. I reached out to KAC for support, by eMail. KAC confirmed that "we do not have spare or replacement parts to sell or send out". That, again, includes keys. That information is not provided upfront upon purchase, so business transparency lacks here. KAC's responded that what "(we) can recommend is to have the locking hitch pin removed by any means necessary". But, destroying the thing and likely damaging the car is not sound advise or support either. I'm stuck, so I cannot recommend this product, thus the one star rating.

Dual electric mountain bike rack
Dual electric fat tire bike rack- We absolutely love this bike rack. It was fairly easy to assemble, the price wasn’t too outrageous, and it is so sturdy. When transporting our two fat tire electric bikes, there is no movement whatsoever, and that is such a relief.. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. It even looks super rugged on the back of my SUV.
