Fantastic upgrade for an old drill
I've had a 3/8ths drill for over twenty years and misplaced and found the chuck key several times. This is frustrating as new chuck keys rarely fit exactly, so I've been relieved every time I've found mine. Then I purchased this. It fit right on in a few minutes, and works great. Best of all, no more chuck key to lose. I still have the old chuck and key as a backup in case this one ever fails, but so far I love this drill chuck.

Installed with difficulty on Bosch 32614 drill
The original keyless chuck on my Bosch 32614 drill started slipping on small drill bits. So I gave this replacement chuck a try. This chuck has the correct threads. But the retaining screw for the Bosch has a 6 mm (0.236 inch) diameter. The hole in this chuck is just a bit smaller and the original retaining screw won't fit. I used a 1/4 inch drill to enlarge the hole and was able to complete installation. It's working good so far.

Worked out great and what a deal
I had an older 3/8 electric drill motor with a broken chuck and considered tossing it out. Before doing so I tried to remove the bad chuck and I removed it quite easily. So the next step was to find a replacement. This turned out to be a no brainer for the price. Now I have a working drill with a decent chuck and I'm a happy camper once again. Not the highest tolerance chuck, but for home use and general drilling use it works great. Decent quality and it holds the bits nicely.

Keyless chucks rule
I bought one of these and replaced the keyed chuck in my old Black and Decker cordless. That drill used to drive me nuts. What to do with the key was driving me up the wall. It would fall off the drill. I suppose it wasn't the one originally supplied with the drill, which I bought used. The solution came to me: Replace the chuck with a keyless chuck. Did that a few weeks ago and decided to buy another keyless chuck for my very old Craftsman corded drill, which I bought about 40 years ago at Sears. That, of course, was bought when keyless chucks didn't exist. It now sports this keyless chuck. Yes, keyless chucks rule.
