Novel Brands ShinJu Blade: Ceramic Knife & Peeler Set, Pearl

I have owned a Kyocera knife and peeler for about 20 years. Had to replace the peeler due to broken plastic frame twice ! Knife has a few chips in the blade but still cuts well. I have bought other brands of ceramic knives and they weren’t as sharp/ didn’t cut as easily. This new ShinJu knife is just as sharp as my Kyocera and has a better handle ! The peeler is a delight to use, it has a much better handle that’s easier to grip. Very happy with my purchase !

This is a ceramic blade that needs to be handled differently from the steel bladed knives. It is super sharp and will cause damage to the user is not used properly. It will chip or crack if dropped, unlike a steel blade. Be sure to keep the knife in the included shieth for protection to the blade from other objects. This will soon be the goto blade for most slicing duties around the kitchen. After a lot of usages, the blade can become dull. Not to worry. Ceramic blades can be sharpened. It takes an inexpensive electric sharpener to restore the edge to the blade. This will last many years.

I bought this set about two months ago, and I can confidently say that this knife is a GAME CHANGER. When I moved into my new apartment, I decided it was time to get rid of the hand-me-down knife set that has been around for ages. I heard ceramic knives were good, so I shopped around a bit for the best deal. I finally landed on this one, and I'm so happy I did! If I could recommend one product on Amazon that everyone needs, it's this. It's very sharp, and cuts EVERYTHING cleanly, smoothly, and effortlessly - not to mention it just looks good and is pretty inexpensive. The peeler works wonderfully and was an added bonus. If I could give this product a higher rating than 5 I would. 10/10, would recommend to a friend.

Because it's ceramic it's easy to chip so I'm real careful with it but it is by far my favorite knife! I've had other ceramic knives as well but this one feels the best in my hand, easiest to hold if you get a little grease or food on your hand it doesn't slip.

This is my favorite knife. It is sharp, easy to hold and use. It takes a little extra care by hand washing and storing it in protective sleeve. My knife did develop a chip in it, as it isn’t as sturdy as a metal knife, but it is being replaced by the company. I sent them a picture of the chip and they said they would replace. You will be happy with this knife.

This is my go to knife. I bought two additional Shinjus after realizing how much I loved the one I received as a gift. However, I had to give on of them to my mom after she dropped and broke hers. Note: they are ceramic and can break if dropped. Mine has kept its sharpness for well over two years so far, which is why I still rated it high in durability. I can literally slice through a watermelon with little to no effort with this knife. On the other hand, I will say I was less impressed with the peeler included in the set.

Wonderful for slicing, especially if you follow directions that say to not cut on hard (glass, ceramic) surfaces so it stays sharp. The peeler is remarkable as well; never had much luck with this type of peeler but this one is very useful on sweet potatoes and larger veggies as it is also very sharp and a covers lot of surface quickly.

This is the second time I have ordered this knife. I love it! It’s so sharp and really does a good job cutting vegetables and meats. I recommend this product!

Súper buena compra, hasta ahora todo ha funcionado muy bien. El filo es incomparable con el de mis otros cuchillos. Hice esta compra por recomendación y la verdad no me arrepiento de nada, solo se que la Ceramica llega a ser un poco frágil así qué hay que tener cuidado de que no se caiga o dañe.

Los cuchillos de cerámica no son de reciente introducción al mercado nacional, pero aún son productos costosos. Me sorprendió encontrar este cuchillo cundo buscaba un pelador económico de cerámica, encontré este paquete que traía ambos artículos a un precio bastante accesible. Ya he comenzado a utilizar el cuchillo, pues me asusta menos manejar uno de $200 que otro de un precio siete veces superior.

100% recomendado, ya van varios meses de uso y no ha perdido su filo. Por supuesto que tenemos mucho cuidado con el cuchillo pero resultó mejor de lo que esperaba.

Muy lindo y también muy filoso. Es justo lo que necesitaba, además con el protector lo puedes guardar con cualquier otro utensilio sin ningún problema

Los primeros meses todo bien, pero gradualmente se fue dañándo el filo al grado de qué hay zonas donde se fue despostillando.
