Disappointed as very few we’ll known songs, mainly obscure little known songs

good cd but sadly jumped past heatwave may favourite trck the rest played ok

a mixture of hits along with several lesser known songs and "B" sides-great value and definitely worth buying-motown music at it's best including some Northern soul classics

A great collection of early Motown tracks which provided the R and B style edge which many of the British Groups like the Animals, Beatles, Stones and Who were influenced by during the early 1960's.The Motown era of the 60's allied to the social changes happening in the USA helped to bring black Americans to new audiences and to show they could equal and innovate as well as others in the music world.Some great hits in this selection

モータウンの音源、というのはいくつかのフォーマットで出ておりますが。テンプス、スティービーあたりならともかく、このマーサ・アンド・ザ・ヴァンデラス、ヴァレリー・シンプスンといった中堅どころは、ベストで済ますしかないでしょう。残念ながら。　と、なると。あとは収録内容、音質で判断していくしか無い訳で。モータウンのベストといえば、かつて「アルティメイト・コレクション」なる、２４ＢＩＴリマスタリング盤が、発売になってましたけど。確かに（過剰なくらい）音が前に出ていて、これはこれでＣＤとしては良かったかな、と。まぁ、ダイアナ・ロスしか聴いていないのですけどね。でもこれが、高い。再発ベストにも拘らず、高額でした。これはちょっと、と他の盤にまで手は伸びなかったな。　恐らくユニバーサルの、再発専門レーベルと思われる「Ｓｐｅｃｔｒｕｍ」から出たのが、この盤な訳ですが。音質は平均レベル。別にステレオのボリューム上げなくても、充分音は前に出てきます。むしろ往年のラジオから流れてきた、所謂「モータウン・サウンド」に近いのは、こちらの音かも。選曲も申し分なく、ヒット・シングル１、３、８、１７がしっかり入っている。ライナーは二枚折りの紙が、一枚入っているだけですが、値段考えたら、これで充分。　これ読んでいる時点で、ある程度「モータウン・サウンド」に関する音的予備知識は、あるものと判断させて頂いて。内容に関しては「王道」の一言で宜しいかと。
