I’ve never used a cookie press before, but was determined to do some holiday baking this year. This Fante cookie press was easy to use. I followed the recipe for the butter cookies and they are yummy. Light and buttery, but not too sweet. For the cheese sticks, I used medium cheddar, substituted smoked paprika instead of cayenne, and because some reviews said the dough “stuck,” I added 2 TBSP more butter. The dough didn’t stick at all. The cheese sticks are FANTASTIC, and addictive. I’m quite pleased with the purchase. Oh, and I thought it was easy to clean.

I like the metal construction. So far it is working well. The handle on top does loosen as I work so I need to pause and re tighten the handle, which is annoying. The sliding bar for choosing shapes is very thin. It would be much better to have individual discs. It shifts as I work, which is also annoying. I have not found anything better, however, so I am still happy with this purchase.

It’s very durable not cheaply made. Easy to work with. It’s so effortless to make the cookies. The screw-in action makes so anyone can use it. My mother doesn’t have strong hands that’s why I got this one. She was doing it with no problem. This is great anyone can use it.

Okay, love the cookie press for its cookie making ability and normally, this would be a 5 star. It's sturdy, it's well made, and it makes awesome cookies.Why the 1 star?Cleaning.Clearly, you can't put it in a dishwasher. It says not to on the box. So how do you get the cookie dough out of the tube? I thought soak it in the sink.Nope.Bad idea.I dropped this baby into the sink to soak over night, thinking it would be fine. I didn't want to scrape the butter cookie dough out of it with a long utensil and scrape the hell out of the tube. As you can see from my pictures, the dawn liquid ate away the paint or coating on it.What???It supposedly has a one year warranty. I'm contacting the company to see if they will replace it. I'm betting it's just a bad press.Heads up...Don't let it soak over night.That should be on the box too.Update: worst customer service. When contacted they couldn't find my order despite email, order number, and screen Print. I'm returning and buying from ANYONE else.

Looking for a press like my mother has had for 70 years. This is as close as you get. This works great but it’s size maybe a little big for the ladies. It is a workout for me with cheese straws and I am 6’3” 200 lbs. Something less thick than my straws may not be an issue.Initial clean up has been an issue but is getting better. Came with an oil or something coating, most of, if not all the tool. I have cleaned it several times but still have issues with some blackish substance coming off. It is hiding somewhere.

Very hard to turn. Only has a few designs that aren’t very attractive. Should have returned but didn’t know how much force it would take to turn.

I ordered one of these, took it apart to clean and found old food, fuzzy mold and RUST throughout the cylinder.Very sturdy, I'm trying one more time; need the crank and unit is solid, except for rust!

Not good for making hard biscuits, the plate bends and really hard to use when the dough is harder.For soft cookies might be okay, haven't tried as returned and refunded.

Love the way its built and easy to use.Haven't baked cookies as I was looking for this type cookie press.Happy I found it.

used it to do Eid cookie and the metal get black stain on the dough at least at the end of each refill but otherwise it does the job

Needs a lot of practice to use . I found it ungainly but I am in a wheelchair and the height was cumbersome and painful for me.
