Very practical
Norland trained nannies are thought by many to be the most well trained of all. And so when I saw this book, I was curious about it. Immersed as I am in Magda Gerber and Janet Lansbury books and thoroughly enjoying their child rearing philosophy, a friend in England said, Nanny in a Book would just be a practical and somewhat fun read. It is.There are lots and lots of very good tips from the Norland training program. This book is a gem.

... lot of baby care books - this is my favourite. Rather than being a step-by-step for complete novices
I'm a first time mother and bought a lot of baby care books - this is my favourite. Rather than being a step-by-step for complete novices, it gives excellent Nanny advice to gently guide you from day one to ensure that the child feels respected and accidents are avoided.
