Attracts woodpeckers and other birds
The woodpeckers, chickadees, nuthatches, titmouses and other birds came to the suet as soon as I hung it. The hot pepper keeps the squirrels from eating the suet. It was just as advertised.

Does not deter my squirrels
I bought this product to deter squirrels from eating the suet that is intended for the birds in my yard. I have purchased other brands of pepper suet in the past and squirrels left it alone after one taste. That did not happen with brand because some of the squirrels ate large quantities of it. Either the younger squirrels in my neighborhood like pepper, or the pepper is not strong enough in this brand.

The birds loved it
It helped keep the squirrels out, although one stubborn a-hole didn’t mind the hot pepper flavor. If this continues I will not purchase this product again, and will just have to forgo having suet out for my feathered friends. Suet is too pricey to waste on squirrels, especially since I also put out food for the squirrels. If they’d only mind their manners and keep to the squirrel chow.

Best anti-squirrel bird food
These HOT suets are perfect if you have annoying squirrels eating your bird food! They have not been anywhere nearby since I put these out. The birds LOVE this suet and it does not melt in the sun!

Eliminate squirels from bird feeders
We especially like the hot suet as it repels squirrels from our wild bird feeders. The principle involved is that squirrels have taste buds while birds do not.

Okay but.....
It took a couple of days, but at least two squirrels (1 red/1gray) so far have decided "hot pepper be damned, I'm eatin' it.
