So much better than a pack-n-play but make sure you test it with your kid first
We're getting to that age where our daughter is old enough that pack-n-plays are obnoxious to deal with while traveling but she's too young to sleep in a bed (we don't cosleep and want to avoid it for all our sleep's sakes).Enter the Peapod. This thing is amazing. It folds up small, weighs next to nothing compared to a pack-n-play, and provides a comforting sleep space that *looks the same* to your kid no matter where you travel. I'm really not looking forward to having to lug around pack-n-plays again when we have kid #2.Few notes:- This is not a safe sleep space for <12 mo as it reduces air flow which is a risk factor for SIDS. Pack-n-plays are certified for infant sleep and are the safest option for <12mo.- You *need* to sleep your kid in this thing at least one night at home on the floor of their room before traveling (ideally a few days ahead of time in case the first night goes poorly). Make it a whole thing - tell them you got them their *very own tent*, make a big deal about opening it up, have *them* put their stuffed animals in it. Now our daughter crawls into it on her own at bedtime. I would not try it for the first time while traveling. If they aren't into it, it's game over. Even with careful introduction your kid may refuse to sleep through the night in it (happened to our friends) so know how to rent/request a pack-n-play as a backup option.- It can get quite warm when zipped - careful of overheating. We got our daughter up from a few naps to find her dripping in sweat despite appropriate clothing for the temp. Err on the side of less clothing especially for naps. You may need to put them to sleep in it, then sneak back in and unzip it to let air flow. You may also need to put them to bed in just jammies then later add a sleep sack after they go to sleep for the night if camping outdoors.- The bottom mat is not very thick; we put it on top of a thermarest while camping for insulation + cushion.- Watch the YouTube video to learn to fold it. Don't try to wing it.

Know your child! Easy carry on, great sleep solution.
This tent was larger than I expected when it popped open so easily out of the carry case. Overall a really great product! Provided us with a place for our daughter to sleep where she couldn't get to things in a completely non-baby-proofed house while we visited. I was a little hesitant because the product says 1+. I say, "know your baby". Our daughter was 7 months old but was old enough to get into a sitting position, pull up and cruise so we felt confident in her ability to move out of any edges of the tent. The only challenge was that she tried crawling up the side and then threw her body backwards which almost flipped the tent, but that is her doing and nothing wrong with the product at all. Like all baby products, use with common sense! We loved how easily this tent set up, went back in the case and fit in our backpack for air travel. Glad I bought it after my initial hesitancy from outdated warnings about an older version of the product.

Super convenient baby tent
Okay, so yes this thing is a bit tricky to get folded back up. But once you get the hang of it, it's easy peasy. It is so compact and such a pleasant relief to travel with instead of chunky, clunky playards. Keeps my baby in one spot while we're outdoors and the bugs away from him. The mat that is removable is a really nice bonus so we dont also have to worry about packing extra blankets to fluff up the floor of it. I dont know why I wasn't expecting it, but it also totally has that very specific "tent" smell. Would definitely recommend this product to other parents.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I cannot recommend this product enough!! I have 19 month old twin boys and we travel a lot as a family. These tents are absolute life savers. We flew with them and the boys slept in them all summer, great for traveling because they fit into our checked bags and we didn't have to hassle with two pack'n'plays through the airport! We have a baby girl on the way and I've already purchased a third tent for her, anticipating another full summer of traveling next year.

If you travel this is a MUST
If you have a toddler and travel this is a requirement. We bought this for our 2 year old. It was perfect to keep him woth us in our room. He loved staying in this. We even took this into an amusement park and he took a nap at the water park. It's perfect for sending to aunts or grandparents homes. So much easier than other cots!! This is AMAZING!!!

Amazing sleep solution for a boat (and beyond!)
This was the perfect solution for our 10 month old! She had trouble falling asleep in the bed on the boat because it was too big and open for her to relax. We didn’t want to put a bulky pack n play on there but we still needed a way to keep her confined and cozy. The pea pod was perfect! As soon as we put her in there she somehow knew it was a space for sleeping. She calls right down in there and I can zip it shut so she is secure. Plus, I can pack it up easily and bring it anywhere. Much much lighter and easier than a port-a-crib.

Great tool for outdoor activities with your baby
We bought this portable bed because our baby didn't like to be on our picnic blanket when it was windy and we were just hanging out in the park. Having this portable bed has made our outings so much easier. When the baby is tired or he seems bothered by the wind, we put him inside of this bed for his nap or to play with some toys there. It also provides some shade for the baby, which is fantastic, especially during the summer.

Great for (big) little kids
I bought this for my 5 month old to have somewhere to lay down when we are traveling. I love that it folds up into a nice bag, but I have yet to get it to fold up. I have to get my husband to do it, but he does it quickly. My almost 3 year old loves when I open and she can stretch the entire length. She’s 41 inches and can lay comfortably. Both my toddler and infant (both of whom are very big for their ages) can be in it at the same time. I was able to fit this in our carry on, so I love that it’s great for travel any time anywhere. It has a little cushion/pad/mattress underneath so that your kids won’t be on the hard floor. Would encourage anyone who travels with little kids to get this
