Sun Essential Oils Vetiver Essential Oil, 4 oz, for Aromatherapy – Vetiver Oil

At first sniff off the bottle I thought I had been had and that the negative reviews were right. I smelled nothing and even secured my girlfriend's opinion to confirm my sensory perception. I even dipped a scent strip in it and same thing, both of us smelled nothing. But then I remembered reading from an experienced perfume maker that the best way to test a scent is to have it be vaporized into the air or something along those lines so I decided to put some in my diffuser and this is where the magic happened. Suddenly I could smell something and it smelled nice. I still had my doubts so I completely washed my diffuser out to make sure I wasn't smelling residual oil and tried again. What happened? I smelled vetiver just as intended. Now I don't know the science behind why I didn't smell anything at full concentration and then diluted into a diffuser I did but it was like magic to me and I'm happy I tested it before writing a scathing review.

Love, love love! Great quality, unbeatable prices! I use Vetiver, for topical pain relief. I wasn't convinced about essential oils, and regarded them, as my father in law said, " snake oil". However, after suffering for years with joint pain, rheumatoid arthritis/ fibromyalgia..etc. I was literally taking otc ibuprofen like candy, since I'm allergic to any opioid pain meds. My physician told me that I was destroying my kidneys! I didn't want to explore other prescription drugs, for the side effects, then end up taking another medication to help the side effects of the first medication...a vicious cycle.So, in desperation, I buckled, and skeptically tried a roll on sample of oils my daughter swears by.After, about 3-5 mins.. it was like a local anesthetic, I could move my neck, no pain, my knees, no pain.I couldn't believe it. There isn't any otc topical ointment or patch I've tried that ever worked like this! Its my " liquid Vicodin" lol

I am not sure this is what it claims to be... I do not think this is a pure essential oil. It says in the ad but not on the product itself. It looks and feels like a mixed in a carrier oil.****we bought 3 products from this brand and the customer service was attentive enough to refund our money upon seeing our one star review. I fully applaud their attitude but continue to stand by my disappointment on the quality of the advertised products . We do not believe any of our purchases was 100% pure essentials , or it is such a bad quality it should not be sold. Ps , I kept one closed bottle forgotten in a cool cabinet and upon opening it was viscous and rancid. Pure essential oils never changed like that for me. I had another bottle that I hated the smell and had no use for it together and it was still looking like the first day I opened , they were beside each other. I never complained of the other bottle it was my choice and I did not like the smell. This one I replaced with a different brand and I have no complains .

Just recently I started using diffusers in several rooms in my home. For me, Sun Organic essential oils are affordable. I've used the more expensive oils and there is a slight difference in the aroma quality but not enough to warrant the extra cost especially when using the oils on a daily basis. I purchased four or five different Sun Organic essential oil scents with my purchase of the Vetiver essential oil & I have no complaints regarding my use of each of the different oils. Vetiver oil has a heavy, earthy fragrance, which is similar to patchouli but with a hint of lemon. Vetiver oil is believed to be grounding, calming, and stabilizing. Patchouli, Neroli & Vetiver are my favorites. For my purpose, Sun Organic essential oils allow me the financial ability to enjoy & experiment with the many different oils that are available. I'm happy with my purchase.

This came on time and packaged well. I opened it immediately expecting a bad smell but I actually felt ambivalent about the smell. It seems to have worked pretty well for my son who does have focusing problems. He has been using it combined with coconut oil and a little peppermint essential oil to mask the smell. He does seem to have an easier time completing his homework when he has used it. He puts it on his hands and neck and sometimes right under his nose. I want to get an oil diffuser songs it will be easier for him to get it in his system. I gave some to my niece who has ADD but haven't heard back from them to see if it has helped. I will say that it was not thick like some reviews have stated it should be. It was not thick at all. If it works, this doesn't bother me!

The oil seems okay - but the cap is what caused me problems. There is a plastic translucent piece under the cap. It separated from the cap when I opened the bottle for the first time. It was resting on the lip of the bottle and I thought it was one of those droppers that come with most essential oils (to release the oil one drop at a time). When I turned over the bottle so that the oil should drip out, the piece fell out and about one quarter of the oil spilled out (and made a big mess).Update:The company read my review and sent me a new bottle to reimburse me for the loss of oil - now that's great customer service!

First off, I want to say that I didn't receive any discount whatsoever and paid the full price for this oil, so my review is quite genuine! The bottle says 100% Vetiver oil but doesn't say the "therapeutic grade" line that is listed on every essential oil I have ever bought, so I think other people are right saying that it is probably mixed with some carrier oil. That being said, I still really like this product! I mix it with grapefruit and lavender oil and apply it on my wrists and neck to copy the doTerra "Liquid Xanax" recipe and it works wonders! I'm calm all day and it's awesome. Smells horrible and musky right out of the bottle but once you pipette it out it's more pleasant smelling!
