This product is easy to use and does exactly what it says. I stretched my son’s new era 5950’s that had gotten too small for him from a size 7 to around a 7 1/4. Also used on some of my older fitted 5950’s that were too tight. Used it and now I can wear them all again. Saves a ton of money if you love hats like my family does!!

I got a couple of size 7 New Era hats online, only to discover that they fit nothing like the ‘47 Brand size 7 hat that I have, and nothing like the size 7 New Era hats that I tried in in-store. They were so tight, and a little googling taught me that New Era is notoriously inconsistent with their fitted hat sizes. I got this product on a Thursday and immediately usedIt to stretch one of the new hats. Friday morning I took it out, and it worked like a charm. It actually worked so well that I overdid it a little. If you use this thing, be careful. Put it in the hat and take all of the slack out. Once you do that, hold the hat over steam for a few minutes, then give the hat stretcher a few more cranks. Don’t go nuts, though. Fortunately, I only went a hair too loose, so the hat’s already tightened up enough that it actually fits pretty well now. Anyway, this is a great product. I definitely recommend it if you need to stretch out a hat.

I found this hat stretcher to be of great quality. The only downside is having to use a tool once the stretcher was snug to continue to stretch my hat. However it works great and is stretching my hat right now!

I have about 30 fitted hats and since I grew my hair out they are all too tight. I used to wear a 71/4 and have tried the 73/8 but feel the crown is two boxey, and the hats look a little oversized on me. I have stretched about five hats now with this device and it works awesome. I just wet the hats in hot water put in a stretcher and crank it down and let them dry in the sun or in the house. Now my hats fit great and look awesome. Highly highly recommend!

This is exactly what I was looking for. Using it for some of my Stormy Kormer hats that were just a tad too small. Works great !!!!!

New Era hats are expensive and they shrink. This stretches them so you can rock them once again.

1) the turnbuckle is tough for a man’s hand to grab and spin, while the turnbuckle is too hard to turn for a woman.2) the system is a bit flimsy- when you’ve got the turnbuckle cranked, the two pieces of wood spring into a less than geometric position placing a lot of stress pressure on the screw ends.Note to builders:I think ALL these hat stretchers would benefit greatly from having hat sizes demarcated on the turnbuckle to prevent an over zealous stretcher from over sizing their hat.3 Stars

Looks pretty much the same as the others on the site. It worked perfectly with little effort on my part. My leather hat that was left in a hot car and shrunk now fits.

Does the job, but l have to say, you might need repeated uses, or at least need to leave it inside the hat for several days.

Bought the small size for my 57cm hat . Glad that it does it’s job perfectly well . 👏👍
