Electronic Kitchen Timer - 1 pc,(Cooking Concepts)

I was looking for an inexpensive electronic timer after the one I had totally died. My local store carried only $16 + timers, and for the uses for which I needed one, less money was much better. So I found this one, and while it is indeed cheap cost-wise, it is also cheap quality-wise. The buttons press easily, but they don't seem to make contact well, so you have to press repeatedly to get what you want, such as setting the timer for hours instead of minutes. The alarm is extremely loud, it startles the dog and annoys the owner. It's so loud it makes you react the way you do to a fire alarm--near panic and great haste to get the darned thing to shut off. The plastic housing is cheapo-feeling. I do not expect this alarm to last more than a year at most. The next one I get will be more expensive--it will be worth it for some quality.

This timer should be priced cheaper because the battery cost more than it's worth. If it was made to turn off when not in use at least you can conserve the battery some.

I use these timers for my classroom to time tests, reading minutes, etc. I needed a couple more timers for the coming school year and ordered this one. It keeps time wonderfully, the alert that the timer has ended is loud enough, and it is very easy to use (which is important when I have 2nd graders self timing their reading minutes).

It’s not very loud and the stand is a little small. I just need it for a classroom.

The buttons are pretty flimsy, but hey, it costs almost nothing. I bought a few of these because I wanted to have multiple kitchen timers for cooking. It does deliver on that, but it's slightly cumbersome to set the time on it. Nevertheless, it's cheap and works well, though sometimes you have to push the buttons with care.

I bought three of these for my classroom. They are overpriced, and one of them has half the numbers missing so it is not usable. I’m disappointed.
