These rugs are made with fine wool on a cotton foundation and the design usually has a column of connected diamonds through the middle of the carpet, also you will find these rugs in panel design. Human and animal motifs are very common throughout these rugs. The newer Yalameh rugs have stunning shades of green, yellow, orange, red, light blue and blue, whereas the older Yalameh rugs have more red, blue, and beige.
