My friend has done lots of research for the cat carrier for traveling because we have to go out of town often and the furry babies come with us. We finally decided to get this one because of the front design (they can stay in and crawl out so easily) and the extendable back design (they have more room when they stay in the carrier).BTW, I would recommend the new design rather than the old version. Just look at the picture, you would know why 😻

This seems to be the best choice for a cat backpack. I will also double as a carrier. The cat likes it a lot, see picture - it shows the expansion. He goes in there and rests just because he likes it. It has lots of windows for him to look out as well. The other important thing is, it is comfortable to wear. I tried another, even more expensive backpack, but it projected all the weight on your back at the very bottom due to the floor resting on your back without distributing any of the weight; it was not comfortable. When wearing this backpack the expansion part is folded up into the back of the pack and acts as padding helping to distribute the weight and increase comfort. If I could change anything, I would like to see the padded straps improved, they are not as comfortable as they could be.This backpack will be great as I am taking a long car trip. I can unfold it in the car and the cat will have lots of room. Then fold it up, put it on and take him into the motel room. Glad to have found it.

it's easy to put on and my pet love, I can go almost anywhere and don't have to worry about the shoulder pads hurt my shoulder, I been on the boardwalk, to mall, have gone bike riding, to the stores I have to say this Pet carrier Backpack is the best one.

I love this backpack. Wasn't sure how my 5 month old kitten would take to it. When I first got it I had it open with the condo (that's what I call it) and all zippers undone. I left it all the floor for about 10 days before attempting to use the backpack. Well she loved it. I would find her sleeping in it and playing running threw it or jumping into the top opening. Once we tried the backpack I felt she was bouncing around. I then bought 2' foam for the bottom and covered it. Seems so much more comfortable. We took it on vacation and she did great. The tether made it a much more comfortable to have the top zipper open. I would have like the tether to be adjust shorter but I think it would work better with a bigger cat. She did amazing in it. We kept it all open in our trailer and was her favorite toy so much we leave it open now that we are home. It is by far her favorite to place with. Best purchase ever.

Bought this for our cat for a car trip. I love that it can be zipped up for compact carrying and expanded in the car. It’s also sturdy enough that it doesn’t collapse on itself and squash the cat.

I think its a great bag for my cat, he loves it, however, the bag i received is missing the safety belt, i am returning it and reordering a new one in hopes that i get one with the safety belt attached. Other than that it seems like a great bag, we plan to use it to take my cat on hikes.

I just got back from a 9 day solo camping trip to Utah (well, by solo, I mean only me and my kitty) and I just have to rave about how well this backpack worked out. I didn't have a choice about bringing along my cat, Spider and though she's fine in a car and on a leash, she's never camped or hiked before so I took all the precautions I could think of. In the end, I never needed the RF tracker or the pre-made Lost Cat posters, thankfully.I got this backpack about a week before my trip so she could get used to it and honestly, I think that was the key. The back section does indeed open up to create double the space so I left it on the floor like that for a couple days, playing with her while she was in it. Her sharp nails didn't do any damage to the mesh, by the way! Putting a towel over it at times made it a fun tunnel for her to hide and play in while she got used to it.Then I took her for some trial walks around quiet parts of the neighborhood. I have a bad lower back so was nervous about carrying my cat's extra 13 pounds on long hikes but even when she moved around in it, the backpack felt balanced. It comes with two sets of adjustable support straps across the waist and chest for added stability which I really appreciated but were barely necessary.There are also two side pockets large enough to put a retractable leash in plus a roll of poop bags, and other small items I normally have on hand for a wilderness hike.In the car, I would open up the lower front panel and again cover the whole backpack with a towel so it became a safe little cave for her to sleep in. On hikes, I would open up the top panel and Spider would have her back feet inside the backpack while standing with her front paws on my shoulders and she would enjoy the hike from this safe spot. If something startled her, she would scramble back into the safety of the backpack (super cute!). She was wearing a harness and had a retractable leash attached the whole time so if she wanted to jump down she could. A couple of times we passed other hikers with dogs but I always faced them and the canines never noticed she was behind me. We hiked every day and were both extremely grateful to be able to feel safe while enjoying the wilderness together. It was a great bonding experience.If you and your cat are new to hiking together, my advise would be to take into consideration that every cat has their own tolerance for traveling. Some will do great and others will never be able to do it. But slow exposure to short trips where your cat is made to feel safe (try the towel trick!), especially when the backpack becomes the safe place to hide, will hopefully train them into a whole new and rewarding experience for both of you.

The media could not be loaded.  Der Rucksack ist Gold wert - meine recht schwere Hündin (6 kg, aber trag die mal den ganzen Tag), die ich mit ihren Welpen bislang immer mit Rückenschmerzen im Körbchen mit mir rumgeschleppt habe (sie will nicht zu Hause bleiben), sitzt hier mit ihren 2 Welpen den ganzen Tag gut gesichert und belüftet drin und kann alles beobachten - wenn wir angekommen sind im Garten oder wo auch immer: ein Handgriff und sie hat außerdem noch viel mehr Platz zum Liegen - ohne, dass sie die Welpen zurücklassen muss oder ich noch einen extra Auslauf zB mit herumtragen muss.Der Rucksack trägt bis 20 kg - also das glaube ich sofort, alles ist mega stabil verarbeitet, dazu mit richtig guten Seitentaschen, perfekt gepolsterten Tragegurten - auch bei längerem Tragen kein Problem - und nichts knackt und reißt direkt, wenn man den Rucksack mal quer hochnimmt mit Gewicht, statt ganz vorsichtig. Hut ab - bis auf die Sicherung der Sichtschutzscheiben, die sich schlecht entfernen lässt, da eingenäht - alles perfekt. Und wen stören die Plastikreste um die Lüftungslöcher? Den Hund und mich nicht.Macht mir jeden Tag das Leben einfach, da ich nun ohne Schmerzen auch meiner Hündin mit ihren Welpen gerecht werden kann und beide sehr viel entspannter und zufriedener sind.Und auch die anderen Hunde fahren in diesem Korb sehr gerne mit!

This is a great bag for taking your beloved pets out in the world with you. I chose this backpack carrier after doing a LOT of research for a few reasons.1. it has a solid bottom.2. it has a chest clip and waist strap, which makes carrying a sometimes squirmy cat a much easier task than it would be without that stabilization.3. the mesh windows are made of a rubberized mesh which can stand up to cat claws, unlike the fabric mesh that a lot of these backpacks have, which makes them really only suitable for carrying dogs.Nice bonuses include the roll-up window, reflective strip on the bag, ease of collapsing for storage, and pockets on both sides of the backpack. The window can be unzipped even when you're wearing the backpack and your pet is inside, and (assuming your pet is small enough - I've only tried this with my small, but fully grown, 8 lb cat) they can stick their head out without falling out completely. Waterproof outer bottom.One (potential) downside: this bag is not really big enough for two fully grown cats (although I'm sure kittens could do just fine). But at this point I don't think that's something any reasonably sized backpack carrier can do.In summary, if you're looking for a great backpack carrier for your adventure cat, look no further! This is undoubtedly one of the best backpack carriers on the market. It's worth the cost, and will surely stand up to many years of use.

Tengo una westy de 12 años ya (7,5 kg de peso) y nos viene mu bien para llevarla cuando vamos al monte y se cansa. Cabe bien sentada y la cabecila le llega bien para sacarla por la trampilla superior. Eso si, no hay espacio suficiente como para que se tumbe.La mochila esta muy bien en general,con una correa interior para asegurarla al arnés/collar y que no salte, también tiene un par de bolsillos y otro para meter las bolsitas. Suelo rígido que no se hunde y con funda lavable.

Finalmente un trasportino comodo per entrambi!!! Ne ho provato vari ma erano sempre o scomodi per me da portare o troppo piccoli per lui. Arrivato lo zaino il primo montaggio è il più brigoso per via della robustezza dello zaino, ma giusto qualche minuto. Poi con qualche biscottino ho fatto entrare Ollie che prima sembrava titubante, poi ha iniziato a entrarci di sua spontanea volontà. Una volta in spalla lo zaino è comodo e dai buchini sul lato si riesce anche a toccare fido, non sarà tra i più leggeri in circolazione ma questo è dovuto alla sua robustezza. Da aperto Ollie che pesa 7,5kg è comodissimo, da chiuso sta un po' stretto e deve stare seduto, ma riesce comunque a girare su se stesso e se gli apro la finestrella in alto è perfetto

Fantastic buy. Dog has ruptured cruciate ligament and we had holiday booked. Problem solved ! She is size of a Westie and fits in perfectly. She's about 7.8kg so job for hubby if a long walk however he has no issue and have often walked for 20 minutes or more. But she happily sits in the carrier and is quite comfortable. It is a sturdy rucksack and we also put water, purse and phone in there.
