Writing Your Journal Article in Twelve Weeks, Second Edition – A Guide to Academic Publishing Success (Chicago Guides to Writing, Editing, and Publishing)

Pity I discovered after buying that you cannot read it on my kindle. It can only be read on laptop or iPad.

I received a version printed by Amazon (UK). I'm sorry to say this, but the font in the book for many headlines and tables looks unconventional. Round brackets are like commas, the small caps 't' is cut off, capital W and Y look funny. Some tables are hardly readable. It's not consistent, some of the letters are fine, others not (in the same table). I wonder if Amazon had a printing problem?

Excellent book! Very easy to understand, breaks down the steps of producing your article in a clear and succinct way!

This is a very good book

I have published about 20 peer reviewed articles before buying this book, so not ‘new’ but so many people rave about this book in the writing groups I belong to and wanted to check it out. For a ‘newbie’ I think this would be such a great guide. I have been using it to help with with parts of my writing process when I feel ‘stuck’, but haven’t systematically gone through the timeline as I am working to publish data from my thesis and I find my process is a little different. I’m looking forward to using the step by step approach in my upcoming research project. I’m in education/social science and find there is a good mix of discipline and methods specific advice.

***I only skimed the book and the content seems good. This is my review of the condition the book was delievered.***The physical book was not in new (or even good) condition. Corners were bend and the binding was partialy detached,. There were defects on the pages, one of them had a hole in it and another was badly scratched. I'm really not happy to have paid about 70$ CAD for a "new" book in such condition. I laminated the cover to help protect it so I don't want to return it, but I'm really unhappy of the product and the price paid for it.
