Product was great, arrived in great shape. However, USPS took two weeks to get it to me.

this looks like someone scanned the paper copy with a mediocre quality scannner and saved it as jpg format. mel bay really should do better at actually getting print quality in kindle.only gets 3 stars due to quality of the book. i give the kindle version 1 star.

Janet Davis has organized her book to take you from chord basics to playing backup on songs she has included. It is easy to follow and leads you from chord patterns to chord progressions using passing notes and full songs with backup tab for the songs.

Janet is a fine player and teacher. Having the visual reference is a big help for me at this point in my study.

Great book. Offers links to both Audio and Video tutorials.

Great back up banjo techniques!

Simple to follow recommend to all!

Lots of information here. Learn to vamp, add fill in licks, embellishments, play Scruggs style backup and up the neck. Lots of songs and examples. Everything you need for 3 finger banjo backup!

This is a great book and included backup and solo banjo riffs. Good for an intermediate banjo player or someone who wants to branch out from soloing to backup. Highly recommended. Book includes access to online backing tracks and examples.

the dvd was made with a cheaper program, not able to have any control like other dvds for instructional purposes I have.I would recommend the dvd for viewing positions and techniques and the book and cds
