Hmmmm
Having read all of Kris Bryant’s books, I was looking forward to this new release. I really enjoyed the story but am troubled by the similarities of another book I read a year ago. By another author. A repeated nickname (Stormy) I can accept as an ironic coincidence. But several similarities later is no longer just a coincidence....and well, it just disappoints me.

Absolutely Awesome!
This was my dream book-----wealthy ice queen, age gap, great chemistry. Cassie needed a job, Brook needed a nanny for her son, Noah. They came together for all the right reasons and in all the right ways. Every page was delightful. Both women were wonderful. There is sizzling heat but also a great amount of understanding between them. The story flowed effortlessly and I was very happy at the end except for the fact that I didn't want it to end. I could have read many more pages. Please read this book. It will put a smile on your heart. Kris Bryant is a true artist with words that bring feelings and thoughts to life. Thank you so very much for sharing those words.

Loved it!
Brook is all business, a no-nonsense woman, successful and very private. For her, Noah is her top priority but she also runs the family business. She can’t be in two places at once. So Brook needs help and she needs stability for Noah. Due to unpleasant circumstances, Cassie's life has become all about finishing college and work. One day she gets a job offer as a nanny. A well-paid job with benefits. Falling for her boss was not in her plans. But the more they spend time together, the harder it is to resist temptation. I loved the closeness of Cassie and her nana and the family dynamics of the Wellingtons. It melted my heart the way Cassie was able to get Noah to open up to her. She was amazing with him. A sweet story with very well done steamy sex scenes and a storyline that has age gap, an instant family, a slow burn romance, a total bitch and so much more. Highly recommended.

Recipe for success
In thinking about writing a review of Kris Bryant’s book, I really have to include the cover. For me covers are important. It’s the first thing I see that tells me about the book with no words other than the title. It’s my visual entrance into the book. When I hear someone say that covers are not important, I am surprised.I love Kris Bryant’s cover. It reminds me of Lesbian Pulp Fiction covers. The cover leaps out with the intent of the book along with the title, “Temptation.” Perfect! You are tempted, a woman’s legs on a bed and another woman standing over her in a shirt only holding a red bra staring at her lover. You as the view get to stare at both. The cover is pastel in color with the exception of red and the cover is meant to provoke the reader. If I saw the cover in a bookstore or publishers table, I would be headed for the book.I would be buying the book, because it is written by Kris Bryant. This book is a very sexy romance where Bryant kind of rouses you with the content of the story. How do you put Ice Queen, Age gap, Wealthy family/Middle Class family, Nanny/Mom with young child, and Slow Burn all in one novel. Read it!It’s either a recipe for disaster or success, and it is a success. Kris Bryant handles all of these motif’s beautifully. It’s not heavy handed but developed into the story naturally as she writes. It works. There’s tension, love, problems and angst, passion and sex, everything you want in a romance novel called Temptation.Bryant tempts you with everything. I love when writers put themselves into their books. By that I don’t mean it being about them, but their passion for writing their story, engaging with the characters and their lives, plot, romance, time and place. It shows in every book I have read by Kris Bryant and this one is no exception.

A “light” romance that tackles a few “heavy” themes
I love Kris Bryant’s writing style. After writing a couple of books about people recovering from traumatic events and finding love in their lives, in an interview, she said this book would be something on the lighter side. Nice try Kris. But you write lives so real that this book was never going to be a fairytale. While crafted with the lightest touch, this story still has the depth of what it means to be a human. There are themes of class conflict, family duty, loss and grief, and of course love. Read this book. It will take you through the many rooms in your heart. Thanks Kris!

We all have temptations but life can be altered when love is allowed to grow.
Cassie Miller is trying to do need school. Her parents don't support her field choice so she is on her own financially. She takes a job as a Nanny for Brooklyn Welington. Brook is a button up ice queen who has closed her heart off to everyone but her Son Noah. The main characters are strong, confident and just don't have time for a relationship. There are so many reasons this should not work that temptation may not be enough. This is a sexy age gap, hearts attract story so full of fun moments. Then cast of supportive characters make this a fun, love filled fest. Even Gwen who just can't feel warmth is someone you will love to beta. I loved the dynamics and dialogue that bring love and understanding for a good look at temptation. I loved it.

Age gap, defrosting ice queen, relatively slow burn romance,boss/employee
This story's plot is kinda generic but the execution makes up for it. I like our mc. I thought she had a good head on her shoulders and she doesn't just fall in love with her boss. She can acknowledge attraction but that doesn't make her loose her senses. I thought it was good. I did feel her issues with her parents where swept away to easily and there characters could have been a touch deeper but the sex scenes where well written.

Get it, read it, you'll really enjoy this very romantic book.
I haven't read a good romantic book in a long time. This is one of those good ones. Kris Bryant keeps us drawn-in as the main characters slowly develop feelings for each other, but each afraid of the commitment of a relationship. You really don't know what's going to happen until the very, very end. Very well done. This is a 5 star book for sure!

Just didn't get there
It lacked detail and depth so when reading from Cassie's perspective it felt really mundane and factual. Lots of content given to other matters or conversations than that between the two main characters Cassie and Brooke until the last few chapters. The title of the book and the book description made me think this was going to be a romance erotica novel with alot of sexual tension between the boss /nanny dymanic but it lacked description of sexual tension between the characters before they got together. It felt like there were missing pages. I skim read quickly over alot of the dialogue between Cassie and Noah, that's not what you want to read as a reader, I wish there was more content between the two main characters in the beginning and mid part of the book. They didn't get together I don't think until I was 60% into the book. The read was frustrating as it had so much potential but it just flopped

.
All in all it was an enjoyable read. There were a little too many sex scenes for my taste but it's a case of to each their own.My only major issue was how the main character was interested in every woman she met. While it worked for the character, who's a young girl definitely not wanting to fall for her boss, it got annoying very quickly to read her considering potentially dating every woman she met. I would rather read more about her developing relationship with Brook 'cause I didn't feel like we got enough of that.

Temptation
A totally absorbing read for me, in that it was sort of a predictable plot but simply done so well, with some very hot scenes, great characters and awesome development of their relationships that made you fall in love with their story.

Girl in need of financial aid meets powerful business woman and they fall in love. It doesn't happen every day, but I'm sure it does occasionally. Why shouldn't it? Nothing to complain there. The characters are very likable.Brook Wellington is a business woman in her late 30s who works for her family's company and shoulders lots of responsibility and work. She has a busy schedule and a six year old son who would keep her on her toes. Single-parenting is a big challenge and no matter how much money a person has, it comes with many compromises on both work and childcare. That she loves her son is obvious and that she wants the best for him is clear from the get go.Cassie Miller is a student who finds herself without her parents' financial support because she has decided to follow her own interests rather than the family tradition of becoming a doctor. In dire need of a job to keep herself afloat, she ends up being Noah Wellington's nanny, who moves into a spacious apartment above the garage and gets to know the kids beautiful and powerful mum.So much for the story. It has lots of potential and yet I found it very lacking in many aspects. Whereas Brook clearly battles her own past relationship experiences and the fallout of her previous bad decisions regarding her workaholic tendencies, we don't really see any growth as a person there. While she falls in love with Cassie and has trouble accepting this for a myriad of reasons such as age-gap or not wanting to rush into something serious with another woman, she never takes the step of actually going beyond acknowledging her mistakes of the previous relationship. We never see her take the evening off to be with her family or asking her many family members to shoulder more responsibility so she could relax a little more.Cassie on the other hand falls for Brook and accepts this as it is, but trying not to overwhelm her woman. The author shows so many beautiful moments with these two, where they experience time together as a new couple without the characters actually getting to know each other. There were so many opportunities for the two women to share some serious deep talk and they mostly spent that time with sex, which makes the story steamy, but emotionally lacking.I enjoyed reading this a lot, but I would have wanted for the author to explore and play with the characters much more.
