Worked great.
I removed a 8.8 pin that broke off. The drill bit was good quality and drilled right into it. I used the square extractor. It came out without a fight. It took a minute at most. If you have an extractor set and a long drill bit then you could easily just do this yourself without the kit. The bolt breaks off at the last couple threads past the locktite. It breaks off due to the axle movement and is likely broken before you remove it IMO. It isn't rusty or anything so it comes out super easy. I could have taken it out with a screwdriver probably. However, if you have to buy the drill bit or the extractor set then this would be about the same price, you'd have to make the guide yourself from the broken bolt or by buying one.The plastic guides worked fine. I'd be able to use them dozens of times.Overall, if you work on 8.8 rear ends, this is probably something to have in your kit. If not, you can probably get away with a little thin screwdriver and a long drill bit. For me, it was worth the money.

Works well
Simple and effective, 2000 ford f150 4.6l rear 8.8 axle. Once you find an angle to position the bit straight in, take your time drilling. Make sure to cover the gears in the diff with something to keep out the metal filings. When using the extractor bit try to feel for the bite by hand, then I simply used small pliers to rotate the bit and it pulled the broken piece of the bolt out. Again don’t rush it and not too much force when turning the extractor bit with the pliers. This was my experience. It worked for me. Great tool.

Great concept
Excellent concept, unfortunately bolt sizes did not fit my application, not an issue as I was able to drill out the original top portion of the bolt to use in their place. Drill bit provided in kit was not up to snuff for my application and didn’t feel like it was of great quality. May work fine in other applications but for an 87 c20 it wouldn’t touch the pin stuck in the center pin. However the easy out provided in the kit worked great. Probably never would have thought of it myself so it gets 5 stars from me.

Worked how it should!
Product worked great. The drill bit itself is just good enough to get the job done. Would be better if the drill bit was higher quality.

Plastic guide bolts.
This is an excellent tool in concept but the implementation is lacking. The guide bolts are plastic. i could have made them myself with a heat gun and plastic coat hanger. Standard 1/8th inch by 12 inch long drill bit and standard spiral and square ease outs. i returned the item without even trying to use it.

AWESOME
super stressful when that center pin bolt breaks off into the carrier, i wish there were multiple sizes because drilling with the one side took forever it felt, but other than that id HIGHLY recommend this to others dealing with center pin issuesps. i’ve recommended this product to a handful of people with the same issue

This pinion lock bolt extractor worked
The kit worked very well and I was able to drill and extract the threaded portion of the broken bolt. That said the bolt happened to be break in 3 pieces the piece that still had threads came out as it should but the bottom part that was not threaded just spun and would not drill out. So I had to use a large punch and a BMFH to whack the pinion shaft which broke a small entry hole to use a 90 degree pin tool to push it out enough for a magnet to pull it out. I needed new Spider gears anyway and those come with a new pinion shaft so was not a problem. Also of note, I Had to purchase a cheap Harbor Freight drill because my Milwaukee drill was a tad to long and I could not get a straight angle as the back of the drill hit spring perch.

Works great!
I hope you never need this tool, but if you do this one worked flawlessly. I saw it on a YouTube video and since my differential pin bolt snapped during an axle seal replacement on a GM 10 bolt Obs 2 door Yukon, I thought it was worth a shot! Saved me time and money!! I hope I never have to use it again!
