I've read the reviews and I had a totally different experience. The lamp came early, was easy to assemble and install and is a beautiful addition to my yard. It stays on from dusk to dawn when supplied with enough sun to charge, obviously on cloudy days the on time is shorter, and if it's cloudy all day it may not come on at all, but that is to be expected. It's a great addition to your yard or deck. You can auger it into the ground or screw it to a wooden deck. I've had many compliments on it. There are switches inside the top cap; you can select between summer, the brightest, and winter, slightly dimmer to conserve energy. It is beautiful, well thought out, well made. I didn't know what to expect but I'm more than satisfied, and it gives off more light than I hoped for. Read the instructions, assemble and install properly and you'll love it.

I like how easy the product is to install. I drilled a 3/4" Hole using my drill which has a built in level. My wife and I pre-assembled each light in our living room, then carried them outside. The bases were very easy to install into my pre-drilled holes, then the poles simply thread onto the base. The brightness of the light is appropriate for a walkway or stairway. I wasn't fond of the bluish-white 6k color, so I installed amber tint (from Amazon) over the light covers. Running permanent power to this area was an issue for me, so I am happy with the solution this product offered. I'm not sure how the plastic glass will hold up, but it seems good and time will tell. I used the large plastic threaded screw option for the base mount instead of a concrete base, and the pole does wiggle some if I push on it, but it is otherwise fairly sturdy, and seems to be a good design. The top fits tight, and the glass is all one piece so it should be very good at keeping weather and bugs out of the light. A metal pole would certainly last longer, but I feel this is a good value. It's much less expensive than metal, and will be easier to make changes later if you want to. There are two brightness settings, and a place to install a secondary Lithium battery if you want the light to stay on longer. On Amazon the optional batteries are around $15 each. So far I am satisfied with running a single battery at the maximum light setting. The resin material is a solid color, so there won't be any need for paint.

Was afraid to buy because of many poor reviews, I am very happy with the purchase, plenty bright enough to shine in my driveway and give me a little light when getting home in the dark, Looks great from the street, Only negative and I am sure it's my soil, but screwing it into to ground it does not feel solid, sways when the wind blows, considering getting 1/2 a cement block and cementing the base to that then burying the block, Just need to make sure I can buy a replacement base before doing so. Only base I see online is for a different set up.

Lamp was not properly packaged for shipping. Item arrived with a broken lamp shade. Light only stayed lit for two hours prior to being in sun all day. Junk

This yard lamp was much brighter than expected and did a good job of lighting my front yard. I live on a street with no street lights and this made a big difference. That's the good news.The bad news is the lamp is all plastic and I don't know how well it will stand up to the sun in the Southwest. This plastic also makes the lamp a bit flimsy and it wobbles in the wind because the screw that attaches it to the ground is plastic (not metal as seen in the video include with the photos of the product) and there are no stakes (also as show in the video) to help secure the pole. We had to pile rocks on the base to to stabilize it.This is a great lamp but would be better if it was glass and metal.

Bought this in 2022 and it stopped working in April of 2024 replaced the battery still wouldn't work contacted Gama Sonic and they sent out a new top and works great again would definitely do business with them again!!!

I expected it may be dim because of other posts I see here, but it's not. It's pretty bright actually. It's at the end of my driveway and gets plenty of light during the day. I've got it on summer mode so it'll be brighter and it's still fine. Stays on all night, or at least until I go to bed, which is late. It is not as bright as an electric lamp, but if enough light to illuminate within a 10 foot radius is good for you then the simplicity of the install makes this worth it. For instance, I got it so my wife could see the end of the driveway area better when coming home.

This lantern is very good quality, very elegant, easy to assemble and gives great light. Amazon had to replace the top lantern as it was broken. It took me a maximum of 5 minutes to report the damage and get my return label for free postage return, and the new light was delivered the next day!! Very, very pleased with the light and the great service from Amazon. Thanks Amazon!!!!!

This solar lamp post is a nice yard accent and produces nice light. I only use this lamp post as a seasonal item in summer time and take it apart to store away for winter. The lamp's battery is charged during the day and turns on at dusk, and quite amazed it does stay lit all night even on its one battery it came with. There is an option to have two batteries inside the housing. The batteries are not your typical batteries you pick off the shelf. These ones are specialty with wire leads, and only available for purchase, I think, from either Amazon or a department store that sells these lamps.There are a couple of flaws I've noticed. One is the lamp post is somewhat wobbly when installed in ground, so I don't recommend hanging anything with weight on the lamp post. Also during the summer heat on a sunny day, I sure notice the post sections will bend due to the heat and makes the whole lamp crooked. When the day becomes cooler, it does straighten out.Overall, I'm pleased with this product.

Quick delivery, lights work great! The bases and posts are cheaply made, and assembled cooked and bend easily. They are hard to stabilize so need to be put away from traffic areas.

Having purchased a solar lamp post almost 8 years ago, this lights is many miles ahead. It has two settings, winter and summer. So far, the light has stayed on from dusk to dawn while my old one was lucky to make it past 8 hours.The post itself could be made with sturdier quality material but it did survive a high wind/rain (80km/h) storm last night so I won't be too critical.A lot cheaper than running wire, installing a post and lamp then paying hydro to run it.

The product is solid, easy to install but the reason I bought it was for it stating it would provide light for 8 hours. Instead after 3 hours it shut off! Is there any company out there which actually tells the truth in advertising? Time after time I buy stuff, usually made in China, that either is poorly made or works for a while but not for as long as it's supposed to.It's getting annoying ordering through Amazon when you can't then try and get the two extra batteries (which have to a special type made by the company) which they claim (do I believe them?) that it adds extra hours for the light.
