The design gets the poor animals feet stuck and my poor hamster got stuck twice and hurt himself. The openings are too wide and slightly unstable. Your pet can get stuck and hurt themselves too. I would never buy this or recommend

I have purchased the 12" Kateey brand wheels, all sizes, and have had them going on 7 years. I thought these were the same. Not even close!The base is 2 inches shorter in design, so you cannot raise the wheel to compensate for a heavy jumbo rat to run. The side pieces are flat on the wheel where the base will go into holes. This flat piece can be bend by a rat trying to enter the wheel while another is running. The wheel blows apart and the connecting flat piece is bent. My rats disassemble the wheel every night.My first tip that this wheel was garbage is that it arrived with the packaging mot even fastened to the wheel. The wheel was green and the base blue. They couldn't match the parts?I use these wheel in tanks where I have baby rats only. Thry are light and can play all over the wheel. This wheel could never hold a chinchilla that is full grown.Buy the more expensive wheels...I wish I had.

I’ve bought several Ware wheels over the years they just get flimsier and flimsier. This one came with the wheel skewed but we were able to get it back in to shape. The wheel stand/ hanger is so flimsy the wheel falls off if my small rat girls get it going to fast. Will not be buying any more ware wheels. I have one 6 plus years old that’s so sturdy I couldnt bend it if I I sat on it.

I have 2 decent sized chinchillas a mother and daughter. The mother is slightly bigger. I was a little put off by the wobbly feel of this wheel at first. The mother chin however after a day or two started running on this thing and she loves it, but the issues I had was the wheel keeps falling off because there is nothing to hold it in place good, it just slides off and topples over. After deliberating over this issue for a while I found that if I bent the support of the wheel outwards some that the wheel won't fly off. Since I have done that I found that she runs and runs, and now I am satisfied somewhat..still feel the build quality could have been better. The baby chin just sits and watch the mother chin runs, she don't like to run on it at all, just prefers to hop over it to the second platform lol. If you can find a better one at a higher price point, I recommend to get that, if you get this one contact me, and I will show you how to maximum usage out of this wheel. Thank you.

It is a well constructed large exercise wheel I am just very disappointed in the fact that it was sent in a plastic bag Which did not protect the item from being misshaped During the shipping process now it hits on the side. Bixby not bend it back into shape. Other than that it is a very nice piece of exercise equipment for the Rats I like the way that you can attach it to the side of the cage however this one will be being sent back and hopefully if they send another 1 it will be in a Box to protect it from being destroyed in shipping. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars because of how it is constructed and how sturdy it is.

Opossums love to run on these. Little guys being rehabbed if found after momma is gone. Little fellas want/need to run and the smaller ones will work for all of a few weeks. This will take them up to maybe 2.5 lb before they just dont fit very well. So this is a far better choice for any longer or bigger animal.

Dont care what the mouse world thinks. Been a breeder of mice for 17 yrs and these I use. Never not once have I ever seen mouse foot Injury. Think it's a total myth, scam just to make $$ on new brands out like spinner disk. Now that thing harms mice!!! Easy to clean, if squeaks we add coconut oil and it last many weeks no noise.

Initially I was worried it wouldn't fit. But it did, now I have the humerus task of watching my furry friends learn how to use it. They have never had a wheel before. So it is rather entertaining. I should mention, my hamster cage is a rat cage. It is a large wheel, so prepare accordingly.

Theres going to be folks who disagree with the use of these wheels due to the metal grid and potential injury. However, it is the cheapest metal wheel available and can be easily modified using duct tape to create a smooth yet gripping surface for rodents. The one issue I have is that the axles can dry up and cause God awful screeching but adding some veggie oil to it helps for a week or two before the next cleaning.

Great wheel for a regular-sized teddy-bear hamster. The gridwork is small enough that his feet don't get caught, so it's safe to use. I probably wouldn't use it for a dwarf hamster, though. Noise level is the usual for a hamster wheel - I'm not bothered by it as I'm used to it, but for those that don't like the sound of wheels, it isn't like a silent spinner. Given the ridiculous price of most hamster wheels though, I'd say this is the best one for quality and price.

I had trouble with my rambunctious chinchilla breaking the plastic hub nobs on her 12-inch wheels. Very disheartening, as the wheels are expensive. So I decided to try a metal one. So far, so good. It is large enough for her. It can be hooked to her wire cage for extra stability. All in all, I am pleased so far. And she is delighted to have a wheel back in her cage.

I expected it to be more stable and quieter. It’s not the first wheel I have and it was disappointing that it is not that stable on the ground and still a bit wobbly when mounted on the wall for my long hair Syrian hamster. Took him a while to get used to it. Plus it’s noisy, especially at night, when he gets active. No oil can stop that.

Product was great for value of money. My pet mouse absolutely loves it! I hear it using it every night! My only issue is, it's a little bit noisy but I could maybe fix that with some lube.
