Kuuma60176; Rod Holder Grill Mount

I bought this as a Father's day gift for my husband, and he absolutely loves it he uses it every time he's out on the boat. Its easy to clean. The only this it gets very hot especially in that Florida sun in the summer time. But nothing a good pair of grill gloves can't control.

My Tritoon has a Merc 150 so the ride can get a bit rough. The weight of the grill will cause this thing to slip at high speed but if you really REALLY tighten this thing down it holds pretty good. Not sure of the exact size but the rail tubing I’m mounting to is very small (approx 1/2inch) and I’m afraid of collapsing it if I tighten much more. As for the cost? It’s way too expensive for what it is. I have the flat mount also and it’s much cheaper and holds much better BUT it’s much harder to put on/take off and the tilt adjustability isn’t as good.

The grill was in the rod holder on the back of my vessel with a cover on it. The video from my slip shows it falling off and the grill sinking. When I found it the weld was broken on the bottom of the adjustable clamp. My $400 grill is gone in the current. I was very disappointed and do not recommend this mount to anyone.

I can't make this stand work because it won't adjust at the base of the grill. Because of the angle it's too un-level, I cannot use it.
