Perfectly fills a need that Microsoft has left unfilled
I have never written a review in Amazon, but felt a real need to do this one. My Surface 3 Pen tip fell out of my hands and into an unrecoverable place when I pulled it out to re-seat it to see if that would help with some writing issues I was having. I had just gotten off the phone with Microsoft Technical support where I was basically told to go buy another $50 pen (I was told my computer was "out of warranty". I'm not sure what a warranty has to do with this issue. I have no idea why Microsoft does not sell replacement tips. I have been using tablet PC's since the mid-2000's and the pens have always come with several replacements as part of the purchase. I had already searched Microsoft and the web for replacement tips and had pretty much given up. Then I found these and figured I'd give them a try. These tips absolutely work like the original. I fully recommend them. Thank you!

Quick and painless replacement service
received in record time and in excellent condition. had concerns that it might not hold since the original fell out of the pen that came with my recently purchased Surface Pro 3 but it fits perfectly..... snug in place and working well. way quicker then waiting for BEST BUY to order through there replacement division and price was the same as Microsoft parts site.

FELL OFF in less than 1 week!!
Pretty pissed. The replacement tip fell off my pen in less than a week, that's $5 right there. I don't even know where/how it fell. I mean, the replacement tips do work but it's very expensive for just 3 little plastics that falls off so easily. The pen tip is a lot more loose than the original pen tip, so be careful not to lose it. If anyone knows anywhere that sells replacement tips for Surface Pro 3, please let me know because this one is just a rip off.

Cheap Plastic, First Tip Broke Day 1
I ordered these because my original surface tip broke after a year and a half of use, and the only way you could get a new one from Microsoft is to buy the pen itself. So I thought, why not.So to be honest, these are kinda trash. My first day with a new one in, it broke, leaving half of the tip still inside the pen. The second one has lasted me 3 weeks now so maybe it's just hit or miss.Very cheap plastic overall. The tip is thinner than the original tip and not really the same shape. (Can be seen in attached photo, the broken one is original surface tip.Hit or miss on weather it'll be a good tip.But hey, 15$ beats 50 any day, still cost way more than it should for so little plastic.P.S.If yours breaks and leaves half inside, just (carefully) push a needle into the tip. It's soft plastic, so it'll be pretty easy too, then pull out while applying pressure towards the side of the pen (So the needle wont just slide out and it'll pull the plastic with it) and you should be able to get it out.

Gets the job done. No complaints and have used ...
Gets the job done. No complaints and have used the one tip everyday for months with no problems. The other two are in my desk for when the other fails me.Update after 6 months. The tips only last about 2-3 months before they stop falling out. They aren't badly priced but nothing special and longevity isn't impressive.

The best and only choice...
Careful, they are delicate before they are installed. It went in fine and I haven't had an issue. It's kind of ridiculous that there isn't official Microsoft tips for legacy surface products. Short of buying a brand new pen, this is the only option. So far, these work fine. I will update after a month+ of use.

These worked perfectly for the 2-button style pens that came with our Surface Pro 3 tablets. We use them in a classroom setting and somehow the originals keep getting lost/falling out. Without the little plastic tip the pen doesn't work - this saved us!

Finally found them!
I couldn't find these anywhere, Microsoft didn't carry them at their website either. They fit a surface 3 pen the one with two buttons which is hard to find tips for. Most only fit the pen with one button. They came quickly and well packaged so not one of the three tips were cracked. They were easy to put in and work great.
