Double Curved Embroidery Scissors Item# 747

Upon reading, "6" Double Curved Scissors are made of a high quality German stainless steel," in the item description, I foolishly assumed these scissors were made in Germany. Nowhere in the description of the item does it reveal these scissors are made in Pakistan. I prefer high quality tools that deliver when I am working. I thought I would give them a chance, however. I must say, these scissors are comfortable to use, and seem to work 'okay.' I wish these scissors had a thinner, finer, sharper tip, enabling me to get just a fraction closer to my work. I guess for the price, they're what can be expected. Maybe I can have them sharpened locally into what I prefer in a scissor point. It's my fault for reading 'German stainless steel,' then seeing the price, and not investigating more closely. In any case, a person should not have to mine for the country of origin. It should be plainly stated in the item description.

My wife and I first bought a pair of these scissors about 5 or 6 years ago. I pretty much use only these scissors with the embroidery we do. Then some how we lost them and we were forlorn. We would usually buy them from Famore at the "Original Sewing and Quilt Expo", but were not planning to attend the expo until later this spring. So finding them on Amazon was a blessing. And a nice extra with these scissors is if you take them to the expo when famore is there, they sharpen them for free.
