Enfamil PREMIUM Newborn Non-GMO Infant Formula - Powder Refill Box, 33.2 oz

After doing research and receiving recommendations from our Pediatrician, we chose Enfamil Newborn for our first child since I could not breastfeed. I felt that this product would give her the best nutrition she could get from formula. We fed our daughter this product until she was 2.5 months old. She took the bottles very well and her appetite increased as expected. Her bowel movements were in the normal range as well. We did notice a lot of gas and gas pains, but we weren't sure if these were from the formula or not. We changed to the liquid ready-to-feed to see if that would help--it did help some with the gas. One thing to note is that her bowel movements changed when going from the powder to the ready-to-feed. Although she did still experience some gas/pains, the pediatrician advised us not to change the formula since we would change her around 3 months anyway (this formula is recommended from birth to 3 months). About a week after switching her to Enfamil Infant powder formula, her gas was gone. After going through that, I do not think that I will use this product for another child. I like the Enfamil brand, but I will either use the ready-to-feed, or another brand for the first few months.

This formula worked very well for my daughter. We received some samples of it at the hospital and our daughter stayed on it for 11 months. We tried switching her to the Enfamil Infant and a couple other brands but she preferred the taste of this formula so her pediatrician gave us the ok to keep her on the Enfamil newborn. We had no problems what so ever with gassiness or constipation with this formula. We recently switched her to Enfagrow toddler transitions #2 for 9-18 months and she loves it. She made no complaints about this switch and it works well for her. I would also like to say Enfamil is a great company, they are good about sending you samples and coupon checks which really help out.

Things like this can be hard to review because what really works for one baby could be different from the other. All you can do is try and hope its the right one for you! My son handled this really well. He was always able to get full and never had problems with gas or spit ups!

While waiting for my milk to come in, we supplemented with this formula and our baby seemed to like it. However, when she was a couple weeks old she started to have more spit up and also some eczema on her skin. We tried the gentle and acid reflux Enfamil formulas - the eczema didn't improve, but the spit up was somewhat better with the acid reflux version. Since I'm sensitive to lactose so I decided to try a soy formula with our baby when she was 7 weeks old - within a few days, her eczema was almost completely gone. So if you try this formula and your baby has eczema, it may be from the milk.

Same great product as the tubs, but these are a better value. The box contains two 16.6oz bags and ONE measuring spoon. My only gripe is that it is called a "refill box", but they are only 16.6oz bags and the tub is 22.2oz, so it only fills it up about 3/4 of the way.

Great value. I transitioned ours from the Enfamil Newborn ready-to-feed to this powder. We didn’t have any issues with clumpy mixing, extra spit up, gas, etc. as a mom, I’m so glad to know that I can feed my baby with a product that I can trust, and that will react well with his system. we’re now transitioning to the Neuropro...unfortunately Amazon doesn’t carry that on here, though...

My doctor recommended we start with gentlease formula from enfamil. She was constipated and miserable for three days on this until I found the newborn formula which I didn't even know existed. After one day she had an enormous poop and was sleeping peacefully with almost no gas. I also recommend Dr Brown bottles. I have now moved up to enfamil infant and will stick with them for formula.
